Just use your SP on the long sections of notes and work on strumming on the beat to keep your rhythm. You'll have to strum pretty fast to get all the notes, too, so you might want to learn how to alternate strum. It will help you later on in the game as well. Keep a 4x combo at the beginning through all the fast notes and using your SP well will easily get you 5 stars.

This is a great starter song for learning to alternate strum.

It's a very simple pattern and it's all on the beat basically. After I finally got some of the harder songs (batm, cfh, breaking wheel) down alternate strumming, it feels difficult to miss a note in the repeated section of decontrol.

It's a SP strategy thing or when you were in SP you miss the notes cause I dit 98% and score 138k and I'm sure that it could be higher

It's a strategy thing.....

Curious to know if I'm so far off cause I haven't gotten the FC yet (quit snickering) or is my path wrong. I know the microwhammies are involved I just can't prove it yet.

Medium seems to be missing a sp, anyone finding it return it to the lost and found.

Get 3, use it on the verse notes about measure 53

Get 2, and probably a squeeze here I can't get, cause I start just after the first GY chord to make sure I get the extra notes and chord before the break.

Get 2 and start on the G note at the end of the G hold in leas. 118

Get 1 and use around the chorus part that has the 3 extra notes in meas. 148

OK so that's the fantasy land strat, since I simply can't get a half meter out of sp *8 all by itself. And instead I combine the final three at the end. I have a feelin' that performance deficiency is a big factor.

I dont think its possible to get that SP by itself. Its only 7 1/4 beats.

Plus, I just got 194,517 using your combine the ending 3 strategy. And I missed a few chord squeezes.

EDIT: Never mind..........its possible. 1st place!

It's possible to downstrum it all, but it's much easier on your arm to just learn how to alt strum it. I find it easier to stay in rhythm that way, too.

there isn't a secret to alt'struming as far as I know...just practice and timing.

That said, those of us weaned on GH1 got really good at strumming each note because the HO/Po sucked. I didn't find I had to alt-sturm anything until the upper tiers of hard level. So this song is very doable down strumming only.

And don't be fooled cause it's medium, this song has tricky little whammies and crap that will break streaks if you're not careful.
