28 days left.
I've been waiting for this game since the release of the Gamecube, when they showcased that trailer of a realistic Link facing off against a realistic Ganon.
It's almost here. _________________

Wii.
I think the new control set will be much more enthralling than just pushing a button to swing your sword. I am such a LoZ fan, that I will have to play it the most fun way possible, which seems to be the Wii version. _________________

Ah, didn't know that. Thanks for the info! Do they have details on pricing for the Wii yet outside of the $249 for the console? How much is online going to cost? Individual games? _________________

Online gaming is free, the Wii is connected to the net 24/7, and Nintendo will randomly leave surprises for people to wake up in the morning.
Games are about $40-$50 apiece, Wiimotes are $30 apiece, nunchucku's are $25 apiece and the classic controller is $35 I believe.
No word yet on the Virtual Console prices, but I'm guessing $5 a NES game, $8 a SNES game, etc.
Oh and SSBB, you'll be able to use GC controllers on it. _________________

I was planning on getting a Wii at launch, but GH2 will be coming out at around the same time. I'd rather buy GH2 and wait it out. New consoles tend to have bugs anyway.
Btw, TP will be the first Zelda game to feature a *right* handed Link. |

Very much looking forward to this. It will almost certainly be the first major Wii title that I buy.

I'm just worried about Wii availability - I didn't manage to get a preorder in, and now I fear that I'll have to wait until after Xmas to get my hands on one (weep)
The games I'm most looking forward to are:
Super Mario Galaxy, and Wario Ware
I have also seen previews on GamePlay HD for a game called "Sadness" which looks incredibly cool - I'll also get Zelda, but I'm not a LoZ fanatic by any means |

I am a LoZ fanatic. Next tattoo I get is the Triforce on my right shoulder.
Don't really be concerned with not finding a Wii. Nintendo plans to ship 1 million consoles at launch, so while they may be sold out at major retail outlets, smaller sized game stores should have some still available. I plan on going to the Microplay that is located in my local videostore to pick one up. They never sell out of everything, due to the nature of the place I live. _________________

Its not confirmed... but that's the word. After all, DS online gaming is free.
In fact, expect the Wii to be the exact type of system as the DS.
See, Nintendo didn't do internet gaming this gen because of all the "child predators" that lurk on xbox live or ps2 supposedly. _________________

Actually, it has been stated that online gaming for the wii will be free. I can't find the article, but I believe it was somewhere on IGN that I read it.
Yes, I know you can't spell ignorant without IGN, but it is confirmed that you will be able to connect to the internet via Nintendo's USB dongle which is what the DS uses. That alone should mean that it is free, since the service the DS uses is completely free. _________________

Sweet, so when the wireless router acts up, I can use the dongle. _________________
