I'd imagine the tournament will be held at stores that had high numbers of pre-orders for Guitar Hero II.
Confirmed right now for the Elmore Gamestop in Davenport, IA.

Link doesn't work at the moment, but the URL is the official one for the tournament. |

I just saw this today. I was playing Psychobilly Freakout and the store manager was watching me play. He told me about the tournament and said I'd probably win (even though I just barely passed the song). _________________

My mom placed a pre-order at Gamestop for my birthday since I had nothing else to tell her I wanted. She said that the guy behind the counter told her there would be a tournament in the store soon after GH2's release, but I went back to inquire for more details and nobody there knew WTF I was talking about. |

One of the tournaments is being held at Mall of America. I went to a local event, played a couple songs, and got an entry ticket as well as a poster and stickers. _________________

Its too bad theres not many, if any, good people in my area. If my local gamestop holds this, i will probably win.

unless the gamestop in my area is the only one in the tri-state area that is having this tournament, i feel like i will come in and trounce the competition.
offTopic, kinda: this trouncing is similar to a trouncing lilQ would give to the competition of a DDR/ITG tournament or the asswhipping assault the bears have beenlaying down on everyone and their mom |

When I went in played Psycobilly Freakout, the guy watching me asked if that was my first time playing the song and I said yea, so he asked if i wanted to be in the tournament and that I was the only one he had seen beat it on their first try. So I sighned up thinking this will be a cakewalk.
Does anybody kno the prizes for the winner? |

Popemobile lives in your area. I wouldn't count my chickens before they are hatched. _________________

Ehh...just imagine how many GameStops there are in his area. I think it'd be cool if SH members planned to go to the same tournaments (pictures, funny stories, real competition, etc.) but there are two GameStops in my small college town alone. I'm guessing there have got to be quite a few more out where they are.
Of course, Fly1ngV, you and Pope could always plan to go to the same GameStop...then you could go to another one at the last second and win the tournament there instead.
**EDIT** Yeah, there's 25 of them within the Chicago city limits alone. Sweet Jesus. _________________

Where is this at? Agh! I never imagined they'd actually do something Guitar Hero related in Springfield. _________________
