Topics only get locked when they stray completely off topic. In this case it's actually a backhanded compliment to ES.
My thought is that failure will be inevitable in some songs. Hell I'm only signed up for Hard because I still only play GH for fun. I've never applied myself to memorizing the note positions personally so I'm constantly sight-reading, you might say.
It is interesting to anticipate what the top players will be able to get through. I can only assume that there will be at least 4 or 5 songs from the entire 64 song set list that will trip some of them up. The songs are not familiar after all!
I can't wait!!! _________________

the version I've heard (obviously a live performance) it didn't really have some big ass solo, bit more laid back (sort of) it'll fun as hell no doubt though. |

I'm sure the final version includes a face melting solo into insanity to show GH2 players what Big B is capable of..
I'm thinking his standard atonal shred into 4 finger tapping into 8 finger tapping _________________

Doubtful, OP. I'm not even NEAR ES' skill level, and I don't see me failing any song on my first try (at least not the main tracks) unless Hangar 18 busts me up.. I did manage to fail Freebird twice in a row because I was testing out how good the pulloff system works (it's good, I just sucked) but that was after my initial 4* run. Most people that BEAT Freebird, will 4* it first try because of all of the easy stuff before the solo. Same with Beast and the Harlot. There is too much easy stuff to allow you to 3* it without failing. Jordan will be hard, but it won't be any harder than Psychobilly Freakout for sure. _________________

I don't know guys. My friend went to Wal*Mart last night and played almost every song in the game. I'd say he'd be in about the 100-150 range in the ranks if he actually cared about star power and played a little bit more. Here is his list of fails:
Rock this Town (once) ("not sure how I failed... had to be a fluke. beat it on my second try easy")
Hangar 18 5 times
Beast and the Harlot twice
Institutionalized once
Carry me Home once
He still hasn't beaten Jordan and says it's "impossible". He also said Gemini is very hard and Thunderhorse is hard too. _________________

I really want Jordan to be as hard as you're saying, but your perception of friend's skill is off. I 4*ed/cleared BatH first try and I'm barely in the top 200 players. _________________

Not necessarily...some people just have trouble on certain songs. He is very good at HO/PO and chord switching which doesn't really help in a song like BatH which is all about a fast main riff which must be alternate picked. _________________

Wait, he added a solo?! All bets are off, man! We're screwed.
Edit: Gemini is an awesome song and Brian Kahanek is super talented. _________________
