|
|
I'm just wondering if anyone can help me with this problem...
You can find a picture of them here: DDR Dance Mats+DDR Ultramix
I did get something very similar to this listing, and after about 2 months my pads crapped out on me. One won't even register that it's hooked up, and the other one isn't registering all of the button pushes correctly.
Any idea's what I should do?
If there are instructions online how to go about fixing these can someone post it? _________________

Not really a good way to fix them, they're soft flat pads, their sensors are going to go a lot quicker than a metal pad. They just wear out, and that depends on time, difficulty and weight. _________________

that kinda sucks... *sigh*
well i guess if i wanna play it ever again, I'm gonna have to invest in some GOOD pads...
Are the thick foam pads a good investment? or should I save up for the metal ones without the bar? I'm really not a very frivolous person... but I really don't wanna shell out $100 per pad... especially not until I'm out of debt (which I hope is soon). _________________

Metal pads with sticky panels aren't something to have, like the Cobalt Flux. I've seen some sticky pads at pizza places where they have DDR, and for that reason, people must have spilled their sodas on the arrows. I've also had an Ignition pad and a metal pad where the up arrow used to work, but it doesn't right now. I managed to ship the RO Metal pad back to RedOctane so that they can test to see if it works and find out what the problem is. _________________

I suggest the RO Afterburner. It performes better then the Cobalt Flux, and doesnt die out for a very long time. _________________

Yeah, I agree. And it's cheaper than the Cobalt Flux. _________________

Personally, I can't play on a flux because of my playing style. The Afterburner isn't much better for me, but it still is better. And the Afterburner isn't a $75 design that is sold for $300.... _________________

My friend bought a Flux about 4 years ago I believe, and it's still working really well! It's an expensive pad, but I can definitely vouch for the quality. _________________

that's just the thing... I don't want to be shelling out 100s of dollars per pad. Maybe $100 per pad, but I'd go no more than that... and that wouldn't even be for a while. (I'm almost out of debt and Christmas is coming up... so january if anything...)
EDIT: By the way, I'd just like to thank all of you for your input. I will check into each of these pads and make my decision soon. Any other models that are of decent quality would be appreciated, but not necessary at this time. _________________

And hopefully you know how to change it to freeplay?
I use a pad from DDR Nation.
Sucks balls 'cause wireless breaks within like 3 days.
I just modded it to be wired, and no problems.
I have cracked my metal pad though... |
