Wow.. I can't play this song more than one time in a row.
Real bummer. This will probably be the last song I need to 5* on hard. =[ _________________

Jesus Christ I fucking hate this song.
This and the Furious Fretwork tier. Wtf. I 5*d all the Face Melters, and every song but Six(20k away), Psychobilly Freakout(<1k away), Laid to Rest(3k away), and Carry Me Home(20k away). Jesus. _________________

Find one place where you can combo, and use SP there
Slow it down in training mode if you can't combo anything.. and let your fingers learn the patterns. Really, the GR's with BYB isn't that difficult. _________________

That's my problem...I slow it down in practice and see everything and it SEEMS easy enough, but it's the speed of the notes and having to hit every single one that's hurting my combos.
Do you alt or downstrum? |

Then back it up some, play a few sections in a row (you can pick a start and then a stop in practice mode) and go at full speed.
As for playing the song, *almost* everything in this song is playable. It's just difficult. So it's more a matter of having "that one run" than anything else for me. |

I single strum most of the complicated patterns. It hurts my hand a bit, but my accuracy isn't so good alt strumming complicated stuff. _________________

You single strum fast patterns? Geez, if anything, I would think that would be the time TO alt strum.
Well, you seem to do quite well with it, so I guess I can't knock it. Just surprised, as I can only seem to get up to a certain speed single strumming. (And that said, this is probably a subject for another thread.) |

Thanks for the tips...just something that'll require practice, I suppose. |

It's not playable. And practice doesn't help shit.
(...and he exits the stage with a bitter "BAH!") |

Well, it's playable, but not easily. I believe this is hands-down the most difficult song on hard. The scary thing is that it's watered down compared to expert, but not as badly as, say, Jordan. But Six is definitely my worst song on Hard. |

This is my last song to 5* on hard and by far the hardest in my opinion. I downstrum everything, and it is killer on my hands. I haven't really tried practice mode that much though..guess I really need to practice a lot more, since I am VERY inconsistant with my scores. Example being 164,xxx one time, then 143,xxx another time after |

Javman what is your elusive path?! Pretty sure I had an awesome run to get 314k... and I don't know how that could be beaten by 10k unless you comboed more than half of the solo... |

I have exactly the same problem, my average being 140-150k while my best run is 166,421...
The notes seem simple enough, but the relentless pace kills my fingers although i alt strum everything (except for HOPOs).
I guess i'll have to do a training session tomorrow, i'm happy with FCing it earlier today on medium |
