Any tips for the solo? I get so lost. I can pass it, but as far as 5* there's no possible way with the amount of bleeps I get on the solo. |

Nobody can keep a streak in the solo, don't sweat it. Just work on missing as little as possible in the rest of the song, using star power where you can maintain 8x, and you'll have your 5*s. _________________

If I knew some of ya'll could nail that whole solo, I'd quit playing. Don't you find it kind of odd that a song so early on the list is so hard? |

Argh. I do really well through the entire song.. but I hit that solo and star power is the only thing that saves me. Can't wait for the practice mode in GH2 - tired of playing through 3 minutes of easy stuff every time to work on the solo. _________________

I try to maintain 100% notes hit, and when I get to the solo, I try to get as far in it as I can while holding a 4x multiplier. Then I figured out one of the star power sections of the solo, then I hit that and keep 100% until the end of the song.
I managed to put up a 20th place ranking. _________________

I found a strategy for getting through it, although i'm not sure how effective it really is for gettin a 3*+. <.< launch Star Power BEFORE you get into the red zone on your rock meter, and nail ONLY the parts you know you can. That way you don't hear that morale repressing sound, and keep up the confidence...
...meh. rambling late at ngiht, apologies, but i finally beat the song. _________________

The basic path isn't too hard to figure out. Remember 1/2 bar SP = 4 measures, 3/4 bar SP = 6 measures and 1 full bar SP = 8 measures. Don't forget to check out the 'Hard' forum too for strategies. _________________

The length of each measure varies from song to song, so when you're playing or looking at the note charts, a measure is just the length of time from one thick white line to another.
If you accumulate a half bar of SP, it'll last exactly 4 measures from the point you release it. If it's 3/4 full, it'll last exactly 6 measures, and if it's completely full, it'll last 8 measures. A half bar comes from 2 SPs, 3/4 bar from 3 SPs, and full bar from 4 SPs. Also, whammying for roughly 2 measures (~7.5 to 8 beats depending on your whammying prowess) can get you a half bar, 3 measures will get you 3/4 bar, and so on.
If you're devising a path, these lengths of time are really useful because you can figure out how much to whammy, and if you can activate SP in between SP sequences and have time to get the next one or not. You'll get the hang of it. _________________
