I used to suck at that part too. I figured out that I was strumming at the right rhythm, I just wasn't hitting the red quick enough.

I can't get those for shit either. I'm having an insanely tough time getting even a 4* on this song because I can't keep a multiplier going through that.

The GRG chords are just fine for me, I've got them no problem, but the single sustain notes with notes on the end are incredibly tough for me to get.

You can hit that with the exact same timing as the G-GR chords. So, worst case scenario, you bomb the first time, hit the G-GR chords, and use that timing for the rest of the notes after the sustains.

It's much easier if you alternate strum too. Because then you only have to strum down to hit the first sustain, flick it up to hit the short note, and strum down for the next sustain. (It's the only part of the song I can consistently hit, so you can actually trust my advice on this one.)

Man, I wish this worked, although I suppose I haven't put enough time into it. I've tried it a half dozen times and I still can't get it... I despise this song. I finally managed to 5* crossroads and this little bastard is just taunting me everytime I turn on the game

Say "Duh-junn" with emphasis on the second syllable over and over. That's the rhythm. (And pretty much what I think the notes actually sound like.)

Dajundajundajundajundajundajundajunda...

That's a good way of putting it. Although I do prefer "uh-waan-uh waan-uh waan-uh waan-uh waan-uh waan-uh waan-uh waan-uh...". Just my personal taste.

I think dun nah in my head, but what i really think helps me is emphasizing my foot tap to the notes/beat. I just move my whole leg up and down when playing these parts. While I move my leg it kind of strums for me, too. This is what I found works for me and I havn't moved from it.

I can get those off-beat single/chord notes. Your strumming has to follow the down-up-down-up-down-up-down pattern, which means you upstrum the 12th notes and you downstrum the quarter notes, and on the chords before the solo, just downstrum them, I did it with this finger pattern: 1-3 1-3 2-4 1-3 1-2 1-3. Trust me, it'll make that section easier.

I'll be honest; I strum almost the entire song downstrum. I only try and strum the solo alt. And I've reached until the 5 note fast parts in the solo (ie. BOBYB.... YBYRY.... RYRGR.... etc).

I just suck at those (and the BOBRYRG parts of the solo...I made those notes up; they might not be what the actual solo is)

Try this finger pattern on the last part of the solo: 4-3-1-2-1-1.

I have no idea how anyone gets those N's...

But I usually do skip the first piece of it to make sure I hit the OBYG for the SP.

I used to hit the GRYNOBYG part, except then they removed the Navy button. Jerks. Now it's impossible.

Well, I've come too close to 5*ing this bastard now (1.5k away, argh!) But I finally figured out something insanely helpful on the single note sustains with the notes at the end.... the new note comes on the UPstroke of the alt strumming, on the beat. I'm definitely not used to upstrumming ON the beat, it's not normal. Now I can combo those about 50% of the time, just need to keep at it and I'll have this 5*'d in no time.

God, it's easier to play real jazz than that damn inverse-swung G GR G GR section...
