I can't seem to get the double strum chords and notes that go right into the three-note chords. Is it possible to single strum this whole song?

I wouldn't recommend it. I'm a pretty consistent single-strummer and my hand gets pretty tired trying to single-strum this whole song. What I do is double strum up to the three-button chords (I find it very easy to follow the rhythm in this song) and then single strum the three button chords themselves. I then shift over and immediately start hitting G-Y as a single strum (even the single Y note) and once i get my hand comfortable back in the GRYB position, i start double-strumming again.

QFT

I do exactly the same thing - I always screw up if I try to alt strum the 3 note chords, but single strumming them is a breeze

I downstrum the whole song and have a Hard FC and a decent Expert score, so you can do it if you really want. It probably is easier with alternate like MLafer and Wulfe do, but i'm stubborn.

I'm really stubborn, too. I'm the only one I know personally who would single strum the majority of Bark at the Moon on Expert. My scores pretty nice at 296K. My score when double strumming the song: 70K. I like to single strum just about everything, even on songs like Ace of Spades...

I'm not a very good down strummer so I alternate strum the whole chords and triple chords and it's not that hard to do

I usually double strum the entire song, I just find it easier to follow the overall rhythm instead of switching back and forth between single and double, which I actually do for a majority of the songs though.

I have an FC on Expert downstrumming the whole song. Not too difficult. Anyways, I guess my SP strategy sucks. Any suggestions?

I believe I go 4, 2, 3

Get 4, go immediately
Get 2, wait about a measure, start right before 53
Get 3, activate a beat before 74

Yeah I think that's what I do =).

Sorry I have no special picture or anything...damn slow connection.

There's 10 SP phrases on this song though. Going 4,2,3 only makes 9 phrases... Is it possible to get all 10 phrases? I can never manage it

Sure, you can if you want. Won't really help you much .

Really I've talked with other Expert players, and I think it's been agreed there are more points with 4, 2, 3 than trying to make a path with all 10 phrases.
