So concerning SP, should I save it for the chorus (GY R O BOB part)? |

I'm using 2-2-2-2 as an SP path. I just skip the last SP, since I can't really figure where to use it.
This got me to 20th with 401K and 1 note missed in solo. Not really the best, but I'm fine with it now. |

If you look really carefully and calculate stuff out, you'll see that there is a slightly better path than 2's. I'm not going to give it out because my leauge is doing this song right now and I probably won't even get a FC to show my path is better, but by calculation I know it is. I'll post it after the week's over. _________________

It's always a "wonderful" feeling when you work on a path for quite some time, then someone great has a video of them playing perfectly the path you just came up with. I want my path-making time back.
Well done ES, I'm almost positive that's optimal.

I just five-starred this song last night. I pretty much always use a 2-2-2-2 star power path every song that i play and it works to get 5-stars. The technique that helped me the mostis strumming up/down on the O BOB part in the [GY][GY][GY] R Y R [GY][GY][GY] O BOB part of the song (chorus i believe). I kept losing my streak there and i was able to get it successfully a couple times using that method. I have a video of it and i'll post it so people like me (being mere mortals at this game) can see some techniques that may help.
Haha 1st post.

Has anyone tried 3-2-2-2? I think it may be slightly better than 2-3-2-2. Still working on the FC to test this out.

raunch, I think they are practically identical. Here is a summary of my test runs and comparisons:
2-3-2-2: Using Priest's video as a landmark, FC'ing up to, and excluding the SP R-B chord yields 283,986 points.
3-2-2-2: Using raunch's path as a landmark, FC'ing up to, and excluding the SP R-B chord yields 283,145 points.
Considering that the last phrases are identical, I only found it necessary to FC up to a certain point. I have not taken squeezes into account, and I believe this requires further examination.
At this point, either SP path could prove to be optimal, and hopefully someone can come up with a clear answer. Anyways, here is a visual SP chart derived from PriestMLH's video: Madhouse - Expert _________________

My only tip: Don't hold your finger on the blue. When you do that little section, take your ring finger off the blue, hit the orange with your pinky, and come back with your ring. _________________
