Okay I just ripped out a 5th place score on this today...

Some tips perhaps.

During the triplet/chord sections (ex. measures 27-42) I find it easier to alt strum this section except where it jumps from chords to single notes, during that time I keep my fingers down on the chords and press the single notes with my pinky. So in the case of measure 32 my fingering would be..

12 12 111 12 12(3) 12 12(4) (3) and (4) being the single notes with my pinky.

Just something that usually keeps my fingers in check to keep my combo in that section.

Yeah I downstrum from measure 59 to the solo...mostly because I'm more consistent on my downstrum and its a good place to hit a lot of easy notes...about 80% of the time I have to pause and flex my right arm a bit so it still works...

Also make good use of the HO/PO tap notes in the solo...its an arm saver.

finally got it, 262k, 94% hit

as for star power, if i miss the first two (not in the fast part) i usually restart. and everytime i get star power i use it pretty much instantly

i can't really say much for how to hit the notes, everyone else did an amazing job already

finally, right before the slow part in the song is your longest pause. take that time to quickly pause the game, and stretch out your right arm a bit (or left, if you're left handed) i find it helps me so much for the remainder of the song.

I got about 160K in multiplayer if that counts...
I would rather stick to making scores on career mode so I can look at them whenever I want...

depnds, that score counts because it relly is way abopve the minimum score, i only usually get a little over 120k, but there is some one who has posted a score for jordan like that and it is so low that it is unlikely that they would have passed the song.

Hmmm... Passing Jordan with lower than 120K does seem a little skepitcal...

How do you pros strum on the verse riff?

a) D U DUD U D UDU D U DUD D D D D or

b) D U DUD D U DUD D U DUD D D D D or

c) other

I 5-starred on Hard doing D U D U D U D U D U D D D D so I'd love to do "b", but that means a I need to be careful to not pull the bar up prior to 1st/3rd beat in those measures.

And no, I can't alt strum the last 4 eighths. I screw it up every time.

I'm close to "getting it" on this song. Just need a few tips.

By the way, I think this is the defining song of GH2. It has everything. It sounds great, it's fun, and it's challenging. The bridge section through the solo is stunningly good. I'd never heard this song prior to GH2. I love playing/hearing it. I'm driving the wife up the wall with it.

I guess I do the first one, pretty much always alternating. Except for the chord/single note switch I downstrum that.

i strum the main rif
DD DUD DD DUD DD DUD D D D D

as for fingering this part, when it moves from GR GR GGG up to the RY B RY O, i keep RY held down the entire time and use my ring and pinky to hit B and O respectively, so tabbed out it would look like this

GR GR GGG GR GR GGG GR GR GGG RY B RY O
but i play it like this
GR GR GGG GR GR GGG GR GR GGG RY RYB RY RYO.

that helped me move from four stars to five.

im trying to to that, i feel that it definitly helps slow down your fingers

but i strum that part as so:

DD UDU DD UDU DD UDU D D D D

i dont know if thats weird but its pretty easy after getting used to it

I've had 297k+ on this song for the longest time, and breaking 300k has been a bitch. I know my SP path is good, but I first need to GET all the SP. For some reason I can never get the first two SP's in the song, and then I just have trouble throughout the rest of the song as if I've never played it before.

Go figure....

I single strum this whole song except for the intro and outro. My arm burns so much after every play, but I keep coming for more.
My new score is 292K

[quote="Bizarbus"]I just played this song for the first time today. Failed 3 times, then took it into practice mode on slow. Beat it next time through without using any star power... spent lots of time in the red though.[quote]

Could that be because you didn't hit any SP? I was forced to do it without SP the first few times I beat it, the song isn't that hard once you get the timing of the main riff down. Hard to keep a combo or 5*? Yes. Hard to beat? No.

After playing this song alot more than I used to, I can get about 150k, most of the points coming from the tremolo parts at the start and the end and the bridges and solo. I can do the whole double double triple thing during the verses, but for the life of me I can't do the whole blue redyellow orange parts, any tips?
