The 2nd solo is always giving me trouble. It's just random notes!

Yeah, I have trouble with the solos as well. Anyone care to elaborate on how they tackled them? I almost have the strum speed for the first one, but I normally miss a few notes here and there. The second one blows my mind and the third one kicks my ass, but I'm still able to get 2/3 of the notes.

Any tips?

I'll explain how I do the solos:

On the first one I dont even strum the greens. I concentrate on hitting the other notes. I single strum and use pull offs and it works most of the time.

I've been able to do good on the 2nd solo actually. I can FC the first section of it, and about halfway into the second. I'll explain how I do the first section: It's almost like the 3rd solo. I keep my first finger on red, because every other note is red, and I just alt strum red and the other note that is next. The second section is almost the same, but a little different. The 3rd section of it I can't really get though.

For the 3rd solo I keep my first finger on green the whole time. It has orange, then green 2 times. Blue, then green 2 times. etc. It goes in a pattern almost. It helps if you listen to the rhythm of it too.

I don't know how many times I've tried it, but the chord series before and after the third solo (esp. the GY-RB-YO chord jumps) absolutely make me want to punch a baby.

I've tried snapping, sliding, alternate/down strumming, and I still can't even come close to getting it. Any advice other than "practice?" I can get those jumps in No One Knows but can't even get them once here.

You had to say it. Damn it.

I am quickly figuring out that switching between 13 and 24 is absolutely futile for this song. Additionally, this song is the top reason I'm going to beg Harmonix to include settings for the vocal track volume in future GHs.

Thats how I do it. I use fingers 1 and 3 on the GY and RB chords, then I switch to 2 and 4 for the YO chord.

I tried that, but it was "futile"

I play it 1-3, 2-4, 2-4... same as I do on no one knows. Pretty much never miss it in CotC anymore.

I play the G-Y with my index and ring fingers, hit the R-B with my middle and pinky, then slide down to hit the Y-O chord with my middle and pinky. I'm able to hit all the time now, but I noticed the reason I used to miss it all the time was b/c I was hitting the R-B and Y-O too early.

I was hitting them too early as well. I fixed that by going to all 1-3 instead of switching to 2-4 as well.
