Guitar Hero 3 Demo to hit XBL 10/23/07

Demo wont download past 86%. Makes me sad.

I downloaded and played the demo for about 45 minutes. lets just say i completely suck at sightreading and I'm gonna have to get used to these note charts. I FAILED The Metal on HARD 2 times! wtf?!

I failed The Metal my first try on X. It does take a little while. I was able to get 5* on everything but The Metal after about 3 tries on each though. I think it takes some time to get used to the new HOPO system and the interface. Once I realized, "OK, it's weird but it's still GH", I was fine.

I downloaded it earlier today.........quite impressed. The HO/POs are a lot easier, but otherwise it just seems like normal GH, only more polished IMO. Especially Star Power activations, the tilt sensitivity is a lot better.

5-starred everything on Expert on my sightread except The Metal, got that on my second run

That quiet section in the middle screwed me over first time round.

Don't like how the demo times out though, usually when I'm about to check my stats. It's totally pointless, and annoying as hell.

I got seriously close to FCing Lay Down, but missed two notes in the solo. Then again I'm quite happy about, if I FC'ed it in the demo and then failed to do it again in the actual game, it would piss me off

I hated The Metal at first, but after some practice I started enjoying the chart. I have even 4*ed it now.

I love how the noteboard doesn't blow up or do anything funky when you activate starpower... much better this way than in GH1/GH2.

The trills are sooooo much easier, i nailed all the HMWYBS solo trills on #1 try. That's not like me!

My goodness, I must be ok at sight reading cos' I still haven't seen the fail screen and I finshed it all (XBL Demo)

Definitely think 'The Metal' is the going to keep me busy for a while though - it needs to, since UK doesn't get the game for another month

I don't have a compatible guitar controller, so I had to use the 360 controller...didn't turn out too pretty.

/ashamed.

After that, I went and just ghost strummed along with my GH2 SG, but it just wasn't the same.

Well, I'm glad I wasn't the only one to fail The Metal the first few tries

. So far this is what I accomplished(Nothing spectacular, I know :P)

300 Note Streak
Everything 5*
Everything over 200k
Everything over 93%(The Metal was 93, everything else was above 97)

I didn't know that The Metal was a 6th tier song either. That makes me feel a lot better about failing it.
