Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to post but does anyone know about msv files? I got an early release of the PS2 version. Essentially now the game does not have the GH archive like previous games it's hard to explain. Now there are folders that say music and in those music folders are the audio but they are no longer in vgs format. They are in MSV format. I looked it up and its a sony codec for some recorders but I tried opening them with the sony program but they dont work. I opened them with MFAudio but I cant figure out the frequency of the songs. Or whatever is wrong with them. I can put on a frequency and I can make out what song it is but either its too slow or its sounds crappy. Anyone know how to work with msv files? PM so I can send you a sample MSV file so you can look into it. Im sure this will help us in the future. |

How about not downloading it illegally?
You say you got an early release, but the disk is not named after the slus code, which all real disks are. _________________

Actually, I've already paid my preorder... I had no idea there was an iso'd leak anywhere, I was thinking about going off 'a torrentin' .. then again, I want to play the game with the new controller... just wont feel the same without it. |

Ok to be perfectly honest I did get this game not in a good way but I got it just in case people start figuring a way to put custom songs in the game plus I am still buying it for the PS3 already paid it fully yesterday. I'm really sorry. Thought I'd give the hackers a head start so we can see what we can achieve mod wise with GH3 |

What did I say!?
I was right!
I said "The things will probably be in .HED format" once, because most Neversoft games are. |

What do you mean? what's in .HED format? wait so do you think through the .HED file we can access all the note charts and songs? |

Look. There is a DATABP.HED. If you use a certain tool(Which I have) it will rip the data from the Wad, you can also rebuild it.
So, i'll upload it soon. |

Meh the graphics are really dark and muddy and the characters aren't really that good. Guitar Hero 1 looks better than Guitar Hero 3 |
