I'm working on a program to deinterleave the vgs files, and mfaudio can convert from vag to wav. |

I could have easily added this functionality to ghex, but I chose not to, because I felt it would be to go one step too far, (il)legality-wise.
However, if I am convinced otherwise, it could be implemented for the next version. |

Yeah, I can't think of any reason other than to convert the game's songs to .mp3 as to why this feature would be needed. I do believe that the tools to do so are perfectly legal, but if you don't feel comfortable doing it, then don't. Adding that feature in, to me, kind of goes against the whole point of the utilities in the first place. Which, as I see it, is to view the files on the disc and to be able to replace them with your own.
So I agree with you about not including that functionality, albeit for a different reason. There are, and will be (thanks shadow!) other tools to do this. It would be better, in my opinion, to focus on adding functionality that can't be found elsewhere. |

Yeah, that's another reason.
I'll think about it, as I can see it becoming more relevant with future planned features. |
