same thing happened again. Same song (higher ground). If this is happeneing to anyone else, is it happening with higher ground or other songs? Maybe we can identify what the problem is. |

Alright, since this seems to be frequently occuring problem I'll try now to identify and correct it. I know generally where the problem is, just a matter of narrowing down the faulty scenario.
The more details you can provide about your scores for that song, the easier it will be to detect. Specifically regarding the following questions:
1.) Did you have 3 scores in the system prior to the submission that caused the bug?
2.) Were any of the prior scores 100%?
3.) If so, how many?, and were any of them the highest or lowest score?
4.) Was your new score 100%?
5.) How did it compare to the scores in the system?
6.) After the bug occurred, if you manually link to the View All Scores URL, or Delete Scores URL for that song (even though it's disappeared from the interface), which scores are shown in the system?
If someone can provide all these answers, I'll be able to fix the problem very quickly. Otherwise I'll keep looking through the code and try to trace the problem by inspection. _________________

1) Yes
2) Yes
3) Just one 100%, and there is already one score higher then it before i posted the most recent score.
4) Nope, new score was 99%
5) It would have been the top score on Higher Ground (it was around 290k, the top score right now is 287,526
6) If I go to:
javascript:openWindow('view_scores.php?song=88')
I still get the view all scores link for Higher Ground, and its showing 2 scores, the one with 100% which is 276,538, and another one with 99% and a score of 285,593. The score I entered just before this happened last is not there. I can also do the same for the insert score link and delete score. I cant find the link for it on manage scores, the whole row is gone as you know, but if i copy the shortcut and change the song number to 88, i get the correct window, only without the most recent score.
Hope this helps. |

Excellent, thanks to those answers I was able to find and correct the problem.
As far as I know, this problem should never occur again (but only time will tell). So let me know if it does. _________________

I'm not sure if this goes here, but everytime I try to surf scorehero.com at my local library, I get a message saying that this site is blocked for the following reasons: pornography. What's up with that? Does this site really have porn on it? If so, can someone explain why porn exists on this web site? Thanks! |

Ahhh... the wonders of manditory filtering software. This is what's known as a "false positive". There is no pornography on this site. Unfortunately, there's probably no one you can complain to about it that would do any good. Regretably, you won't be able to access the site from your library.

Alright, thanks Riz. I guess I'm stuck to using my dial-up connection at home to view and post scores. (sigh) I need cable Internet... |
