i guess ill lead this one off
i dont have the exact start points, im playin around with it right now
3- use around measure 59, so it ends right before the next one
2-use around measure 98, again so it ends right before th\e next one
2- use right away
2- use right away
and for the last use, im not sure whether to get 2 and use it during the slew of triples right after the solo, or get 3 and use it at the fast picking at the end. what does everyone here do? _________________

I use 3-2-2-2-3
It seems like the amount of fast notes is equal to more 3-note chords when using star power.

NOTE: Whammy only 1/4 of the sustain so you can get the phrase right after usage. _________________

I have a completely different path that I use. I'm at school right now so I'll edit this post as soon as I get home with my path.
Edit: My activations may not be 100% mathematically accurate, so if someone wants to to edit it, please do so. Here it is: http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/6125/cherubrockxpathox9.jpg _________________

that's pretty much the same as the path that i've been using. i'm not sure if it's optimal, but i got 501k on a -2 run. |

This is actually nearly the same path as the one above you, you just split the last 3 phrases into 1-2. I don't see why though. The first activation spans 1,291 base points in 4 1/2 measures, but by activating there and not waiting until the end, you give up 2,575 base points in three measures between 101 to 104. Assuming an FC, multiplying each by 8 gives us 11,928 and 20,600. So waiting until measure 101 alone would add almost 8k to your score, which is quite a significant amount.
Spot's path is the one to use right now. I posted that in the original SP discussion thread, and with the path I got 527694, which is currently 2nd place. _________________

Here's a bad visual representation.

NOTE2: My chart is slightly wrong. The last activation will end at the before the one I have in the chart. | the 2nd activation should be moved to that 2nd YB chord, not the first. that way you will get all the 3 note chords under SP before the next phrase. and the first activiation will only last you until 2 notes before the SP phrase. _________________

Just a note - I consulted Debr for the proper SP/Whammy ratio whilst making this chart. It differed from mine, so go by the black vertical lines as your activation points unless you like to overwrite.

Not if you're squeezing. I get those notes all the time when I do it. The 2nd activation is a little messy; I can't squeeze too well on it and I usually end up missing 1 of the chords on the squeeze.
And I got a 100%/Not FC and ended w/ 519k with this path. I think it's close to optimal. _________________

This path is reallly hard to remember. I cant imagine ever FCing this while having to remember all those activations :/ _________________

The chart at the top has the whole song in 2/4, which is way wrong. Throws everything off, so uh, don't get fooled. :P _________________

Everyone is obviously onto the fact that 3-2-2-2 is the way to start, but no one has gotten the ending right yet (at least not in this thread). The best way to use SP in the ending is to activate on the second chord of measure 100 and squeeze to the Y in measure 108. Remember, there is enough whammying in the two phrases before the last phrase to get a full bar from them, so there is no need to wait until the end of the last phrase to activate. This makes the optimal path 3-2-2-2-2, where you run over the last phrase. _________________

Ugh, I FC'ed it without knowing a good path and I managed to get 512K
Now I've gotta go back and memorize this whole path
