Title says it all! I loved the Diablo series, and I haven't found a game quite like it since (World of Warcraft was as close as I've found, but it wasn't quite it). I really enjoy games where you constantly upgrade your character, and the loot is mainly drop-based. Can anybody recommend me anything that's like it, or should I cross my fingers and hope for a D3? _________________

If only they had a world of StarCraft... hmmm that'd be kinda cool!
But seriously... Diablo and Diablo 2... excellent games... get old very fast... Still have a few characters, but I haven't played them in about 8 months... I think I think it may actually be going on a year now, but I still keep them "active" by logging on every few months.
Games that are like Diablo... World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XI to a lesser extent, The Norrath Series as fenster said (Champions of Norrath is quite fun when you get 4 people going). Can't think of much more. _________________

Baludr's Gate: Dark Alliance is definitely worth checking out.
EDIT: And while I've never played it, I'm pretty sure Neverwinter Nights is similar. _________________

There's a game that's in the same top-down hack 'n' slashy type genre called Sacred, might wanna give that a try. |

I played TQ, and in my opinion, sucks is not a strong enough word.
It looks just enough like D2, gameplay wise, to be tempting, but once you scratch below the surface, you find totally linear maps, deliberately off-class drops (to force you to play multiplayer), and many other annoyances. For my money (that I wish I had back), just say no to TQ.

I enjoyed Titan's Quest, but it doesn't have the staying power of Diablo 2. _________________

I'm working on an action rpg game that focuses a little more on the action than the rpg aspects. We officially announce the title on the 5th!!!
Doesn't much help you now, but just so you know.
I enjoyed Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance personally. |

Wait for Hellgate: London.
It is the closest thing you will ever get to Diablo III.
And if there is a Diablo III coming, chances are Hellgate:London will still be better than it. _________________

Try Dungeon Siege and Dungeon Siege 2 if you haven't. If you are a fan of the genre they are the best.... plus neither one requires a good computer to play. (good for the poor amongst us. ) |

Any of the Baldur's Gate games, definately. Oh, and it's not exactly like Diablo, but if you like fantasy-themed open-ended RPGs, consider Oblivion, which is one of the best games ever created (no exaggeration). |

Definatly, main reason (at first) why I got my 360, that and Dead Rising.
I have Diablo 2, over summer break, thats all my friends and I played (that and GH1)...had a lvl 79 "Dragoon", lvl 96 Thunder Sorc. and a lvl 82 Fire Sorc. (didn't turn out well)
But now, it's just repetitive, and im just not into it _________________
