Hot damn...
I don't know whether to be impressed or saddened. One one hand, that's a kickass controller. But on the other hand, a real guitar went to waste to essentially be made into a simulator. _________________

I've seen something like that before.

It looks to be a Squire Stratocaster, which is only like $150 IIRC. Considering an official wireless controller made of plastic is $60, it seems like a pretty good deal for someone who really gets into Guitar Hero. |

It's a Squire. It's already gone to waste.
He should have used this. _________________

Here's a HackADay.com article with detailed instructions on how these were made.

one small difference but big problem..the fret buttons on the squire are alot more spreaded out than on the SG guitar making playing G-O chords seem like hell all over again..unless u got big hands.. but other than..thers no point..of doing this unless u really suck and want to have the best lookin guitar hero controller ever...just mod the SG _________________

that probably isnt very comfortable to play, ive practiced guitar hero with a real guitar before using the first 5 frets on the low E string and it wears out your wrist more than a normal gh controller, but hey, what do i kno? |

some people can actually be arsed to make a new guitar from scratch just to put the serketry in, which to be fair is a waste. _________________

Meh.
The fret buttons are too spread apart. It wouldn't be fun to play. _________________

is it just me, or does it look like he took the strum-bar from a TAC controller? if he did, i definatly wouldnt want one of those. the strummer's to small compared to the SGs _________________
