Professor Nutbutter's House of Treats by Primus. It's not insanely hard, but it gets really crazy on both guitar and bass around the middle and carrying into the end. It's quite epic, and clocks in around 7 minutes.

Heh, Primus is the last band I would've thought of making the final encore...

Sadly, I can't find any guitar tabs for it... Bass tabs are another story.

Now think before you say this kind of stuff. Would you have honestly considered any Pussycat Dolls or Boyz II Men song over any Primus song for a final encore? Or even any (yuck) Spice Girls song?

And Larry can fucking shred when he wants to. That is all.

Ouch! Good point man, didn't even think of that...

And don't get me wrong, I love me some Primus. The song itself does have some nice guitar play, but I can't chart for shit without a good tab. (See: My original Sweet Home Alabama chart )

If you like Opeth you can try charting White Cluster
It's 10:02 and it was something like 4 solos

You want an epic song that's epic, isn't too boring, and has a nice solo thrown in there? It might not be the most difficult song, but on the epic scale, I'd have to go with Hotel California. I doubt you'll have much trouble finding a tab for it.

You're always welcome to use my Voices chart, I have it done up to the first chorus and should be done in a few days. I don't care if you make your own anyways, nothing wrong with having two charts for the same song up here. God knows if Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne has 3, every DT song should have 1000. As far as Under A Glass Moon goes, there's already an amazing chart for that, although you may have to re-sync that one. When I downloaded it I did, I think the guy who charted it had a slightly different version of the song.

Ah, Opeth. They definitely have a large catalogue of long-ass songs. Maybe I should look through some of their songs sometime...

Hotel California is an awesome song, but definitely too easy.

All in all, I think I'll stick with Under a Glass Moon for now (I plan to do my own version). However, I think I might try using some of these ideas here for future charts. That said, feel free to suggest any more ideas you guys might have. I'm plenty open to suggestions still.

U should check Trivium - The Crusade. That's epic! Maybe not that hard, but definitely epic!

To be honest, after playing custom dragonforce songs, everything else seems boring. That's just me anyway. I mean my enthusiasm for GH3 came to an almighty anti-climax because nearly every single song is basically boring & repetitive. Once again, thats my opinion.

Anywho, it may not be a rock classic but somebody REALLY needs to tab Michael Jackson & Slash - Give into me

End song....Rage against the machine - Freedom

That's been done before. I've seen a video of the chart on youtube and it really is epic and the chart was very good.

I swear I've seen a chart for The Crusade as well...

The only thing that's keeping me from really looking into more Trivium stuff is that I'm already using Unrepentant on the burn, and I really hate using multiple songs from the same band on an individual burn (Silly, I know). Unless something strikes me as perfect from Trivium, I'd kinda like to hold off on it, ya know?...

I put same-band songs on the extras but not in the tiers. That Crusade chart has like 4000 notes or something ridiculous, I saw it once...Dude, definitely take a look at the old Under A Glass Moon chart cuz it's really well done. The solo might be harder than you think; I didn't expect it to be as tough as it is.

Oh by the way, there's a live version of Voices from the Live Scenes From New York album that Dream Theater did that's absolutely amazing. I'm only bringing it up because since in GH you're supposedly playing something live, I would think an awesome live performance as the final song would kind of be a great pinnacle. You can watch the video of the performance on youtube at http://youtube.com/watch?v=6WPl8DaQYdk. Of course, the tab shouldn't be all that different from the studio version of the song. Just thought I'd mention it...good luck with Under A Glass Moon if you're doing that.

Finished uploading Blackbird if you're interested in checking out. Definitely won't be as hard as you want, but take a look anyway.

You can always add notes if you want to make it harder.
