it's most likely that someone else at your school was a jackass and got banned, because they ban IP addresses, not usernames. Try it out when you get home and you should be fine.

either that or you mentioned one of the unmentionables somewhere

no, you should email an administrator. Making up a new username will just get you into more trouble, you would have been banned for a reason
