I typically downstrum, but cannot seem to get the Intro section down. Any suggestions? Sadly I do better in the solo than the intro. |

To do well on the intro, you probably are going to have to downstrum. Shouldn't take that long to get the rhythm down. And don't forget, you can still hold down red or green and hit the higher notes. |

Im starting to think my hands just dont like this song.
Intro - 77%
Solo1 - 83%
Solo Bridge - 88%
Solo2 - 90%
This is a little sad. |

I've actually never had a problem at all with this song. I alt strum the whole thing and I think it's just a matter of getting the rhythm down. It might helpt to accentuate the beat in your head (or by slapping down hard on the buttons). Also, I do not hold the red notes down in the first part. It seems to screw me up because you have to lift off for the chords. |

It's much easier to get the rhythm alt. strumming if you start with an upstrum.
And try listening to the song on your ipod a bunch. This is one of my most listened to songs and I 5 starred it first try. Maybe there's a relation? _________________

i disagree i think that alt strumming is better for this song...at least for me a poor alt strummer and slow downstrummer this song was very helpful in getting my coordination down with alt strumming and now i can pretty consistently hit the intro...it probably is easier to downstrum it but i think youll be a better player for learning to alt strum this section and the rest of that song for that matter _________________

I agree, alt strum everything and start it with an upstrum. Take it into practice and figure out when you should be down strumming to keep you on the correct speed.
It is a constant pattern through out the intro. |

Alt-strum it all if you arent what I call an endurance downstrummer.
Not only is it good to learn to alt-strum certain parts but its a valuable tool to learn for songs like KoC or songs like Raining blood. I started to alt strum late into playing gh2 and now i alt strum everything(except for notes that are so far apart that there really is no point to alt strum it.) it has really helped a lot so give that a shot if dont have the endurance. _________________
Been playing real guitar lately. having fun gigging and stuff. but its not the greatest time of year for that right now so im getting back into gh. |
