when i try to convert a .vag file to a .vgs with FileExpandGuitarHero the window for the converter comes up. i select my .vag, then click "new audio", then the box says nothing about a hex value, immediately closes. i look in my folder and there IS a new .vgs file but it is smaller than the .vag which is not supposed to happen.

any help would be appreciated.

thx

I've been having the same problem (trying to get Fire and Flames to work), but I've noticed a few other things about it.
Specifically, the vag.new.vgs file is getting larger over time, but still is smaller then the original .vag file.

Does the vgs converter run entirely in the background or something?

Yes it does. U have to wait until it stops growing so to say. About 3-10 minutes or so.

Ah, so it's a headware problem, not a software one. Remind me to upgrade my patience next time I have the money.

Try using FourVAGInterleave.

I just released a new version of ghex that supports VGS encoding.
You might want to try it out.

If the new.vgs isn't 4x the size of the .vag, then it's not finished.
