I'm sure a lot of games could take up that much if they were uncompressed. :P _________________

*In an attempt to get back on topic*
I finally played Resistance last night (for about 5 minutes) and I can say that my initial reaction is that I don't like it. To be fair, for some reason, I've never liked an FPS on a Playstation console, I think it has something to do with the controller. I played from before the part where Hale gets the Chimeran virus from the little bug things, to a little bit after. I imagine that it gets better than what I saw, but that area didn't impress me at all. I'm not even sure if I'll play it again, I feel no desire to.
Question for the PS3 owners, does playing it on an HDTV really matter signifcantly? I played it on a standard def tv and I thought the graphics looked like a good ps2 game at best. I keep hearing how good the game looks, but I just didn't see it last night. I played Gears for the first time on a standard tv and I thought it looked amazing (can't really tell the difference from an HDTV unless the two are next to each other).
So that's my take on the game so far, I wouldn't run out and buy a PS3 for it, even though they are available everywhere now. |

They already did 4 of them (in a row I believe), don't ya think they would want to take a little break from that franchise? Doing sequals isn't always fun, no matter how much you may love the first one, it kind of feels like you are just making one really large game over a longer period of time. It's hard enough to work on a single game for 2+ years, I can't imagine working on a single franchise for 5+ years.
I agree though, a new R&C probably would have been better than this. |

It looks pretty damn good on my TV - (65" 1080P, even though the game only displays in 720P *grr*)
I'd say Gears of War has better graphics though, but Resistance is probably the second best looking console FPS I've seen!
A new R&C game would be sweet - I'm just holding thumbs that they're developing a HD version of God Of War 2 for the PS3 (although I think it's only going to be a PS2 release)
Can't wait for that one anyhow though! |

well, as the biggest R&C fan on this entire board, a R&C game for the PS3 would almost definitely be enough for me to buy the system |

Sony made a big mistake with the PS3... They are going to lose miserably this time around....
Giving Xbox a good chance to gain some more fan base. However.... I am not giving up on it completely. But one thing is Sony can afford it. |
