01-22-07
I'm currently without hosting so my songs and website are down until further notice. I hope to get this sorted out soon.

I just completed my second song today, and my first one yesterday. I haven't tested them out but ruippeixotog informed me that if they are in sync in GHEx, then they will be in sync in the game. My flip top is in the mail and I don't know when it's going to arrive so possibly someone could test them out, especially someone with an HD Loader because I wouldn't want to waste someone's DVD-R(s).

Anyhow, instead of posting them in here, I'll link you to a little site I made with both songs and some details on them. I also have the link in my signature and on my "WWW" button for easier access.

I'll bump this thread every time I create a new chart. Enjoy

I see I have to fix some bugs in the note chart export in ghex..
And you know you can put a custom title on it when exporting, right?

Heh heh, now I do. Oh well, editing that wasn't the problem. Ha.

Hmm, a site like that might work great for categorizing all the customs made and their respective videos. You think you might be up for that? People would love that.

I guess I wouldn't mind, but it's not exactly a .com, nor could I make one. A friend gave me some sub hosting off of his friends website. Someone else would have to provide the hosting. But, I don't know. ruippeixotog just made a thread with all the custom songs indexed inside and I'd hate to have his efforts go to waste.

W/e works. I was just thinking about going overboard with the custom stuff. If I had the knowhow, I would make a site myself .

Microsoft FrontPage 2003 makes it really easy. All you would have to worry about it where you're going to host the site.

I checked out the MIDIs and MIDI Maestro left some end event notes. I'm guess that's what caused it to crash. Either that or did I didn't to that end part right at all. Either way, I removed the MM notes. Maybe it'll work now.

EDIT:
Updated the website to show information on the song updates.

Orchidia's still freezing for me at the beginning, too. I downloaded the (updated?) MID file from your site yesterday, and checking it in Anvil Studios, I don't see anything right off that would make it freeze.

Man, what gives?

Can someone maybe check out the MIDI or check my steps in my tutorial and perhaps I'm just leaving something out in the process of creating these charts.

Nick, or anyone, did you try my Overture? Does that one freeze too?

Well, I noticed something strange... Your Orchidia's midi has a way too high timebase: 15360 PPQN, comparing to the normal 240/480 PPQN. This must be affecting GH script. With Anvil, you can see that; in Orchidia's event list, it says that all notes' duration is -1. When you right-click a note to show it's properties, and it shows a 3840 midi ticks duration.

Just use MIDI Maestro to change timebase. I haven't tested it, as I'd have to burn a dvd (I'm working on a way to test songs in ps2 without burning dvd and without hdd; I'll finish soon :P), but it should be normal.

I'm not even sure what you're talking about and what I'd have to change. Also, I'm blaming MIDI Maestro for this mess since it's what I used to change the [end] event, but it might have nothignt o do with it.
