I'm in the process of creating CKY's Disengage The Simulator for GH2 and had a quick question.

The song starts immediately and when its imported into GH2 this gives the player no time to get ready. Its just, fretboard animation and then go.

I was wondering, is there a program (MP3 editor?) I can use to add time to the beginning of the MP3 so that I won't have to go through the trouble of skipping a measure in Freetar and then adding a delay when I import the file in GHEX?

You can do that when importing in ghex.
You can read how to do it here.

I think you misunderstood. I know about the delay you can put on an mp3 to either start it late or early, but the problem is that in Freetar, which I prefer to use over Anvil Studio you make the note chart as the MP3 is playing. Which is why I would have to edit the actual mp3.

Audacity is my recomendation. A free music editor (google it). You'll have to get the lame_enc.dll yourself but that's your problem and it's not hard at all.

There you can easily ad a 2-3 second space before the song starts.

Just did it. Worked like a charm. Hopefully I'll have the .mid ready sometime tomorrow.

Here's a preview of the song if anyone is interested:

Doing the expert version first but I plan to go all out. Bass portion, star power, all difficulties, etc. etc.

That's how I always did it too, by adding a dead space using Audacity, only takes a few seconds. Gives you a chance to get ready.

Without meaning to hijack this topic...on a similar note, is there any way(preferably with Anvil) to add a few seconds of silence onto a MIDI file?
