wait, have they released ITG 2 home yet?

I'm not sure. The last time I heard about the possibility of ITG 2 for home consoles, the makers of ITG were in the middle of a lawsuit over copying DDR. Does anyone know what has happened with that?

IIRC, when Konami failed to succesfuly sue Andamiro for copying the idea of a dancing game, it set a legal precedent. The issue was that they used actual DDR cabinets with the arcade ITG, not so much the game mechanics. They teamed with Andamiro (PIU team) to make the cabinets for ITG2, so that one is totally clear. I'm not 100% sure on all that though. Since a PC version of ITG was recently released, I don't think a console ITG2 would be out of the question. I just pray it doesn't get as ridiculously censored as the first.

if you go to any online importer of Japaneese games, they most times will have Extreme JP on the list, but make sure you have a modded PS2 and are willing to pay the huge fee to have it imported to the states.

I had to sell my copy at one point... but I plan on getting it again, DDR Extreme JP. It has by far the best song seletion out of any DDR home version.

This is probably the easiest and cheapest way to get the game.

Ouch, that's a waste of money, I have to save my money for the Guitar Hero 2 bundle when it comes out.

100+ songs from the arcade on the home port? And not to mention that www.stepmania.com (I think) has patches for the game to where if you image it and patch it, it'll have tighter timings just like the arcade, I say its a steal.

Is there any word on whether Universe will support the RedOctane USB Ignition 3.0 pad?

Fly1ngV, if you think that Fascination Maxx was the worst of the Max's, then you're dead wrong. You were doing that song on the Extra Stage feature. On Extra Stage, your life bar never increases, so you got to have good enough skills to pass a song like Fascination Maxx on the Extra Stage.

ok, i know how extra stages work, i've been getting them for a while now. i know that in the modern day extra stage you can't get life back and on omes (One More Extra Stage for those who never got/seeni it, in Supernova it's Chaos, the most rediciously made song ever) it's one non combo you're dead. Fascination is hard, i'll give you that, but there is no logical flow to the song, no real rhythm, it's almost like the folks at Konami are trying to force an 11 into the game and it didn't work. the chart isn't that great on heavy or oni anyway. I can pass fascination, but i prefer Healing-D-Vision as an extra stage any day over that mess of a song.

Thanks. I guess I'll have to purchase a mod chip for my PS2 and spend that much money to have it imported to the states.

I got the game. It's simply amazing. Best home version to date (including JP releases). Get it. Love it. Cut your hands off to pass some of the charts.

Max.(period) is one of the most fun charts i've played in a long time, considering how hard it is too.

but on a totally different topic, has anyone gotten superNOVA home (or CS as it would be called if it were beatmania or popn, lol) i heard as far as home conversions go, it is actually better than superNOVA arcade and i am severely sceptical of that.

I recently bought Supernova for my fiancee.
It's fun(Never played the arcade version so I can't compare) and the step charts seem harder. On Extreme2 I could AA all the songs on light and had moved up to standard. Had to move back down on Supernova...
