Well, I've been working on my first tab, "Land of Confusion" by Disturbed. As of right now, I just have the notation and star power(Expert).
My problem is that GHEx is occasionally setting some of the notes w/o the sustain.

Example:

The two RG chords shoud be sustained...
-->

The RO and RBO chords should be sustained...
-->

These two riffs are the only occurences of this, but it is consistant thru every appearance of the riffs.

Any suggestions?

P.S.:I have notes shorter than these in this song (1/8th notes) that are holding sustains, so...

[EDIT]
shortening the sustains a little does fix it, but it also leaves a small gap. Anyone have suggestions as to how to get them flush (like some of the other notes shown above)?

[EDIT 2]
Well, I think I have it fixed now... For those new to Anvil, there is a "snap-to" option, and I think that is what was causing my note chart to be too close.

It's your note placement.. you either have sustains that are reaching out "onto" if you will the notes that are supposed to be sustained, or sustains reachin out and touching another sustain, of a different fingering causing them not to touch.. hence forth causing a non-sustained note after wards.
[edit]
Also, anything a quarternote/less wont show up as a sustain. So stretch them bad boys out.

No, your notes are well placed in the screens. Ghex has some kind of bug that doesn't show some sustained notes; if you see with attention, they don't even highlight when played. In GH, they will play fine. I noticed that bug when ghex 0.3 was released.

Well, I'm sure those notes are not invalid... it happens in almost all of my midis and, although in ghex they doesn't play, in GH they work as they should. So, it must be a ghex bug.

The thing with notes not becoming "bigger"/highlighted when playing back a song is something I've looked at but not found the reason for yet.
Not really a big deal though as it's just cosmetics, but I'll keep at it.

As for invalid notes, if there's a mismatch between ghex and the game I really want to know about it and preferably a .mid to test with.

Well, the only major one Kata is the 5notes at the beginning if you put ur first note on the first beat of the midi, it makes ur first note all 5 notes.. also if u spam the page with 1/32 notes, it magnifies ur view of the notes in replay on GHEX .. small things I've found out ^^ helps with timing

Same here.. It's a fun song to play on an actual guitar, I'm kinda proud of the fact that I can play the solo well.

Let me know how it works, please (like I said, I haven't been able to test it out, so you get to be the first!)
