I'm gonna finish mine tonight. If anyone would care to offer some feedback before I hand it in officially I would be happy to email it to them. I don't really take other people's ideas so much into consideration though so don't bother trying to sabotage me. _________________

I'm thinking something along the lines of Eternal Sonata. Anyone ever play that game? |

So, sudden epiphany in the middle of the night like WaffleCake... happened. Roughly 2 am last night, I got an idea. In my head, it sounds like it could be pretty freakin' sweet. Hopefully I can translate it into words on paper now _________________

I sent in mine last night. I don't think it's particularly innovative, can't wait to see how it stacks up against everyone else's ideas. I think this definitely fit its purpose, made me think a lot about game design! _________________

Looking forward to seeing what everybody came up with this week as well as next week's challenge. Will that be up sometime tomorrow? Or I guess more importantly, did enough people submit for the challenge to continue? haha _________________

Just emailed mine, I think it'll be very fun to see what others have come up with.
Now just waiting for week 2
Edit: Almost forgot, happy Easter everyone. _________________

Well, I have a draft of my treatment done (thanks for that template btw, ImaCarrot, it helped a lot). I'm gonna hold on to it and try to get a quick review from my friend tomorrow afternoon before I send it in to make sure I got my idea across nice and clear, though.
Can't wait to see the next twist! _________________

Thought they were due in 2 hours from now. Suppose I may have read the front page wrong though. _________________

Today is the 23rd right ? If they were due last night, I'm gonna be kicking myself over this, especially since I wasn't able to get a hold of my friend to look at it anyways _________________

Sorry for being a touch late with this; but here is week 2's twist.
Twist: Using any genre; the game design must be a cooperative-single player game.
So what is a cooperative-single player game? Why its a cooperative game played by yourself of course. While the concept sounds a bit out there at first; it proves to be an interesting one to pursue. I've got a couple of example games for you guys to check out that should help clarify the challenge for this week.
Cursor*10
Timebot
Obviously both of these games are more or less puzzle games, I've found it really interesting to try and apply concepts like these to other genres, such as the FPS or Action-RPG.
Another game that falls into this category is Braid, an unreleased action-platformer.
So, let's see what you guys can come up with for this one, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. _________________

Already have a good idea for this week, but one question Carrot, I didn't send in an entry for week one, I can still enter week two correct? I just miss the points (or whatever grading criteria you use) for week one? |

Majora's Mask comes to mind here. Very cool concept. _________________

wow, I thought the last twist was forcing us to think outside the box... This is just mind bending
Unlike the last one, though, I already have a few ideas mulling around in the back of my head. This is my last busy week, then, starting on Thursday afternoon, I'll be able to put a lot of thought into the next couple of weeks challenges (thank you Jebus for spring break, I really need it). _________________

Well, I've submitted. I must say, wtf at twist? I'm hoping for another epiphany here. At least this one allows a little more creativity. _________________

I'm reading through the entries now...I'm not critiquing them or anything yet, since I'm pretty damn tired, but they look pretty good at a first glance. Hopefully this wasn't too hard on any of you guys. _________________
