|
|
Today, when I loaded up my Guitar Hero game, it said my file was corrupt and I needed to make a new one.......I lost all my records and stuff...
Had this happened to anybody? _________________

It wouldn't be a problem with the game disc, it's either the memory card or your PS2.
Are you using a standard Sony memory card? How old is your PS2, and what model is it (the large one or the small one)? |

I have the newest version of the slim ps2. My ps2, game disc, and memory card havn't given me any problems in the past.
I just remembered something.........crap......I know why....
When it was on the saving screen, the power to my room shut off. You aren't suppose to turn it off while it's saving.....so......that's probably why? _________________

Yeah, that's most likely the reason why. _________________

I'm paranoid about losing save files... I have 1 (sometimes 2) backups of all of my saves across several memory cards. _________________

I'm pretty paranoid about that, too. I've actually kept myself awake at night wondering what I'd do if one of my Pokemon GBA games corrupted. You can't back them up and I have over 100 hours in 2 of them. |

I too have had this problem. Twice now. First time I did nothing but turn off my game one night and when I got up to play....BAM, had to start all over. The second time happened about two days ago. I took my game to a friends house to jam. His kids wanted to play before we got around to it so I said ok, and when I went in to start the jam session my save was gone and all I saw was a band name that wasn't mine....thank god for score hero |

Still better than my girlfriend's addiction.
150 hours on Red. No joke.
She was rather embarassed when I figured that out. _________________

Same here. I was hoping it would be fine today, but it is still kinda slow (although not as bad as yesterday). |
