|
|
Now on Manage Scores, Browse Scores, and in Compare Users, clicking the "Rank" column header (or "user's Best" in Compare), will sort the scores by rank. Clicking it a second time will sort in reverse. In addition to the "compare to top" feature I've recently added, this should serve as another way to pick out which scores you need to work on.
In this process, I've also further optimized/removed many of the queries, so the load times should be a bit better than before on those pages.
Enjoy, and as usual, let me know if you find any problems. _________________

Additions are great, just wondering if there would be a way to have a thing on the homepage that says how many members in total the site has. I'm pretty new to the site and was wondering, and havent really looked so its probably around here somewhere, Im just lazy and thought it would be convenient to have on home page (like currently 181 out 32142 online. or something of that nature. |

Hahaha this is great, I was just thinking last night how I'd start working on my skills by doing the song I'm worst at (rank-wise). |

JCirri, you said you could do this in Compare Users? I tested it on Browse/Compare users and it works fine, but I can't see how to do this on Compare users. The only clickable options are "song", "x's best"(x being user 1), "y's best"(y being user 2), and "spread", where you can sort by spread. I don't see a "Rank" column header anywhere. _________________

Ah, yeah in Compare Users it's actually called "x's best" and not "Rank, but it does the same thing sorting by the ranks of that user's ranks.
The Compare User's sorting has been there ever since I implemented "compare to top", so that portion isn't really new, but I had never announced it before. _________________

Oh, I see it now. No problems anymore, and keep up the awesome work! Actually, I think you should take a break and actually play some GH/Pop'n, but that's just me. _________________

Thanks to this feature I've jumped from 165th to 142nd and added over a 1/4 million points on my 10 worst songs. 100% on Strutter and an FC on Message in a Bottle. Sorting from lowest to highest rank, its like I'm peeling off the bad score and revealing new ones. I also got all my scores into the top 400.
Thanks a lot. _________________

Hmm, the ranking is very neat, but the site seems a lot slower now (even in times I considered down time, like the morning). Related to queries?
(PS, I wish I could get my hands on this database, I love trying to make programs and databases run faster...) |
