I invited many of my friends home to try Guitar Hero. Some of them were atrocious, some of them were good ... But one of em was playing like a penguin with a guitar !! It was awful ! I think that he got something like 61 % of the notes on his first passed song ! berk !
what about your friends ? _________________

I don't have friends.
My fiancee (Wolfy6688 on here) is getting better though. She doesn't have a lot of time to play though, with work and all. |

I can't say much about GH, but I can say that in other music games, after you play the game for a while and get good at it, you see some new people who have no rhythm or music sense attempt to play and it can almost be painful to watch them struggle and fail something that is trivial to you. |

I have a few gamer friends, and some of them even play DDR, but I can't get them to give Guitar Hero a try. I guess they consider guitar sims to be just too weird.
So instead, I share my rhythm game addiction with my son (MysticLegend). I mean, how many ten-year-olds can earn five stars on Spanish Castle Magic (Expert)? _________________

Your son must be impressive ! Did he ever tried to hold a real guitar in his hands ? May be he should !!
Yesterday, two of wy friends came home and said : "Buddy, did you know that *a radio station* is setting up GH contests every week in a different bar ? You MUST go there !" I'll check this out, but I still got work to do before to set a crowd wild ! :P _________________

An other friend tried GH and said that it's hard for him to play a song that he already played with a real guitar. On easy or medium difficulty, some notes are missing (not played) and it was hard for him to NOT play them. I think that the ability of playing real guitar doesn't help to rock songs of GH !! _________________

Unfortunately none of my friends play this game... although I think I can convince my brother to get it.
When I first started playing last week, and saw some of the scores posted here on this website, I was in awe, and I coudn't comprehend how some people could be so good at this game. But I've been surprised at how quickly I've improved in just a few short days. I've never learned to play an instrument, but I think I have reasonably good hand-eye coordination (probably from being a hard-core gamer and proficient typer). Don't get me wrong, I still suck, but I really enjoy being able to live the fantasy of being a rock star without the burden of taking real guitar lessons! |

Just to add to what I already said, the point I meant to make was that I can now comprehend how some people can finish the game on Expert. Maybe. But I suspect I am still a long way from that.
Plus I just wanted to add another post to test my new signature... gotta show off my scores! _________________

One of my friends said the same thing. Thankfully, I don't have this problem, since I don't play real guitar at all.
I know five or so people who tried GH and really enjoyed it. The aforementioned friend got it after playing it at my house and loving it. _________________

not too many of my friends play GH very often, i have one friend that is a lot better than me and the rest of my friends are horrible. it is funny to watch my best friend fail songs on easy, i just dont understand how he can have that bad hand-eye coordination, since he plays video games all the time. this is the first rhythm game that i have played and im getting a lot better than i thought i was gonna be. alright where was i going with this..... |
