Let's focus on the competition factor first. I remember the outstandingly fun race to the FSFC on Hard. In my opinion, I doubt anything will be as fun as that. Sure, I could be like the 10th person to get 200 FCs, but that would take so much time and I will get soo frustrated.
Another factor of my decision is that the games are becoming too easy on Hard. I loved how Guitar Hero 1-3 were all so difficult to FGFC on Hard. How I needed to spend hours upon hours to get one or two FCs. Now each game takes the same amount of time for a FGFC. I miss the race to FGFC races.
It seems as though going for FCs in these games are really boring and tedious. I'm at the point where I have to give it my all and hours of time to get one new FC. And to be honest, I don't want to. After playing Co-Op with my friend on GHWT the other day, I realized how fun these games could be when you're trying to have fun; not when you're going for FCs. And that's what a game should be: fun. Not some chore that you spend your precious time on to try to hit every note of a song that dozens, if not hundreds, of people have done before. And now I've gotten to the point where I can't really improve. Hell, I've hit every section of every song I have left besides a few GH1 songs, Jordan solo B, One FSA, and a few sections of TTFAF. The only way I can really improve now is if I spend hours gaining consistency. And really, that's not something I'd like to do.
The other reason I'm semi-quitting is because I have too much going on. Yeah, sure, it's the Summer so I have a lot of free time, but I want to spend that time doing something productive. Maybe hanging out with friends. Not sitting in my basement grinding out an FC. And during the school year I'm going to be very busy. I used to only play on the weekends, and now it seems like that won't even be possible. I'm doing a lot music-wise. I'm going to be playing trombone in Michigan Youth Band, a trombone choir, the school band and maybe even the orchestra. And besides all of that, I have lessons and practicing an hour or two every day. Besides all of that, I may be playing drums in a band with my friend. And additionally, I like to play guitar, piano, trumpet, and bass in my free time. I've also heard from like 72 people that Junior year is the hardest year of High School. I'm taking several accelerated classes, working on my ACT/SAT stuff, and trying to keep up my 3.9 GPA so I can go to a good college.
So now what everyone is wondering: What does it mean that I'm "kinda quitting"?!? Well basically I'll only be playing for fun now and probably a lot less. Sure, I may get some more FCs and I'll probably still update this thread occasionally, but it will be much less often. Maybe like once a month. I'll still be posting on this site also. I probably won't stream again. My brother is going off to college and I bet he'll be taking the webcam. Lastly, I doubt I'll be getting any of the new games. I'm hoping to be getting a car when I'm 16, so I should start saving up now. And the games have lost their fun-ness.
TLDR: I'm going to be only playing for fun now.

Edit: ELECTRIC EYE FC OMG. I've been grinding this song for song long. In total, I spent 40 minutes on it. Yes that's right, 40 minutes from being completely inconsistent at the solo to the FC. I spent about 15 minutes in practice. I figured out a method for Solo D that lets me hit it everytime. Then I worked on A and E consistency (I'm still really inconsistent at A, but I just got lucky). Then the next 25 minutes of playing it was real runs. I got 3 pre-chokes, and one choke (missed in Solo F). Then the FC. Words cannot describe how amazing this was.

WOW. I haven't played 80s in like 2 weeks or so, and I get both of these first try back to back. When I last played 80s I was gonig for the FC of Seventeen, and had FCed 1C like 10 times in practice but never in a real run, so this FC was kinda expected. But last time I played Round and Round I was nowhere near an FC.  Now I just have the big 4 left in 80s... (Edit: To end some confusion, I got R&R and 17 before EE, then wrote this, then got Electric Eye. I now have 3 songs left.) Guess I'll work on other games now.
And yay, 175 FCs! Didn't think I'd get it this fast. I still have a few easy songs left in GH2. I'll probably be working on GH2 next to get rid of those and hopefully get like 58 FCs.

Fall of Pangea FC! 2nd time playing through the whole song lol. I had one semi-choke in this (missed the first note after Solo 1). I love how this took me so much longer on Hard.

Yay! Finally got Godzilla. I've gotten like 6 100% overstrums and 2 or 3 chokes. >_> And yay, 35 FCs! Meaning I completed another goal of mine. And I also have 171 FCs in the first four games, so 4 more until 175.
Edit: Just FCed Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight as my 49th FC in GH2.

Working on GH1X again. Got TBW, AoT, and NoK today. 2 more songs until 35 FCs! Might stream later today.

Wow, I just got Them Bones and Rock This Town (both first try). I'm going to finish up the setlist (hopefully FC tier 1-7) and then work on bonus songs.

So I'm basically going for 200 Expert FCs on the first four games (GH1, GH2, 80s, and GH3). My latest FCs were Black Sunshine and Rock You Like A Hurricane (FC#63 and 64 on GH3). Only have Don't Hold Back, Holiday in Cambodia, The Way it Ends, Raining Blood, One, and TTFAF in GH3. I still have a lot of easy FCs left in GH2, so I'll probably get those and then go back to GH1X.

I doubt I could do that. I'm actually taking a break from GH3 for awhile because I just got 80's and I could get a lot more GH1 FC's. But who knows. Maybe in a month or so when I go back to GH3 I'll be expoentially better and FC TTFAF and One!!lolno

Thanks! Yeah, I made a thread dedicated to getting FC's because that's what my other thread basically became. Except this way is more organized.
Bump for Los Angeles FC and Heat Of The Moment FC. I'm going for No One Like You next and then I'll probably fix my 2 100% overstrum songs (Seventeen, Only A Lad)

Bump for No One Like You FC and changing Ain't Nothing But A Good Time and Electric Eye from red to orange (I practiced the solos and got -2 on both of them and a -4 in Electric Eye in a real run)
