Real backing tracks

Is it possible to take lets say a backing track (for exemple downloaded at GuitarBT) and add someone record the guitar for it? if so I would be willing to be a maker for backtracking tracks, as i work with reason, but am in no way able to do anything else. we could create a project where there are guitar players,backtrackers,guitar hero programmers(the ones who put the songs in the guitar hero format etc.)

so what do you say? possible? already done? feedback please!

There isn't that much progress at the moment. To be fair, if you want to have a go yourself, be my guest, you're probably more likely to get things done yourself than with a bunch of guys all trying to help.
