wierd problem playing custom songs help appreciated

I have successfully changed mids and vgs files to work with guitar hero 2, I added a few songs posted such as dragonforce fire and flames and journey any way you want it. I burned successfully and the game works. After I was successful I decided to replace ALL the songs in guitar hero 2 with custom ones that others posted, and two from guitar hero 1 by changing the T1 and end event. After that I burned on same media (HP) and the game boots up, the first tier of songs seems to work fine as you can hear the preview. But as soon as I hit second tier, which was journey which worked before, I hear no preview, for that song or any of the other songs including the first tier which originally was working. So I am confused to what would be causing this problem, as I had it working originally, can someone please let me know what I can check, can one end even effect the whole game? Can one bad mid or vgs affect it? sorry about the long question.

to answer my own question, a bad burn can cause the songs to not preview when selecting, and in turn freeze the game. Burned again at 1x and it works fine
