So has anyone actually transversed the entirety of World 7 in Super Mario 3 WITHOUT warping or using that cloud-thingy that allows you to skip over a level?

Also, another related question: Is it possible to beat those levels covered in spikes without P-wings?

No... I haven't.

To be honest, I haven't even FINISHED Super Mario Bros. 3... *crawls back under his rock*

Well, by golly, get to it. Use warps...just beat it!

I never knew about that trick until I saw the video where the dude beat SM3 in 10 minutes. Even if it was spliced on an emulator with 20,000 some saves used to make it, still an amazing video.

It really is a mind blowing video. For the entire tank mission, I found myself screaming like a little schoolgirl during the entire thing. I mean....I screamed. I actually screamed. Loudly. Many times. It's an amazing piece of awesome.

I have played through the game without the flute, but it has been so long since I've played it, I don't think I could do it again so soon. I'd have to remember what to do and figure out which suit is best for which level. I'd love to play the game again, but I have my Resident Evil 4 Pro mode game to get through, and I'll be playing God of War 2 completely naked and covered in mayo. GoW2 should hold me out for a good while.

*joins club*

Last summer a friend and I beat the entire game. The best level in that world is the one where you have to get the stars over and over and just keep running. So much fun.

Who else hangs out at the castle (I forgot which world it's in) that can turn into coins and gets 99 lives?

I've actually completed World 7 many times...No P-Wings or Jugem's Clouds used.

That video is actually fairly old. Made by (checks TASVideos...) Morimoto way back before TASVideos had even been established.

Fastest completion thus far on a console is 11:11 by Richard Ureta.

There's also a 100% (all levels completed) run done on the All-Stars version.

Is that the one with the shitload of pipes? If so, I'm so in this club.
