I use Game Extractor too and got 59 .ogg files too.
since they total a little over 30 megs and the .gob file is 113 megs, obviously, we're missing something.
There is another file extractor I used to use, but can't remember the name.
Also, what are these SAWH files that also get extracted? |

Yes, you should rename unk to ogg.
I have a good new: I found a way to get some filenames, in the header the file names are stored as CRC32 hashes (so obviously we can't get them back to the original value), but of course, the ROM uses the real file names, hashes them, and finds them, so, with a generic string detection, I got the file names of some files (the charts seem to be the sawh/hwas files).
(I'm not sure how many filenames are in the ROM, i just tried 2 or 3 "random" filenames, but I suppose that there will be a lot of them). _________________

I wish I could be of any help, I want On Tour customs really badly. Damnit, if there is some way to accelerate this process then tell me. |

I renamed the unk to ogg and I tried a few of them and most were little barely a second little sound things. One was a beep, one was fuzz, and the others were also little beep things. _________________

yah i got those little beeps and noises to. i also tried (just incase) changing there format to mid but still nothing. i did realize (if it helps) that the oggs go in alphabetical order and every other one is a bass track. |

Just remember that not every ogg is music. So you're gonna find a few beeps and other odd sounds in there that are used for things like menus. |

Apparently there exist hacked roms allowing people to play without guitar grip. This is letting me hope for being able to create customs soon! |

I don't know much about hacking stuff but I do know that the Guitar Hero: On Tour tracks are split into 3 different files to help fit it or something. Just trying to help anyway I can. |

I don't know a ton about hacking but I used to mess around with Halo 2 a few years back so I thought I would take a look at On Tour. I opened it up in Hex Workshop and decided to pick a song to search for. I randomly picked the song I Don't Wanna Stop and so a did a search for just the word "Stop". At Offset 000E1611 this is what I found:
It's the same for every song. There are 2 .ogg files and 1 .hwas file. I'm not sure what the .hwas file is but It seems like it has to either be the note chart or the background music. The background music seems more likely though. I tried looking up .hwas on google and couldn't find anything out. I think we need to find some way to extract the .hwas files and take a look at them. I hope this was helpful.
Edit: Oh sorry GameZelda, I guess you already figured this out. I somehow missed your post earlier. But yeah it seems like these .hwas files could be important. _________________

Hm...
That is very interesting.
According to a poster in ajdef3's link, the chart files are supposedly the .txts.
That wouldn't make much sense considering someone found "thousands" of them...
This is definitely interesting, though!
I'll keep an eye out and offer some help in any way I can. |

Ive found a program thats able to play and convert .psb files.
Though it doesnt recognize the format and makes you input the source data type. Ive been trying different data rates but so far the only thing ive been able to get out of the psb's is garbled sound.
Anyway here is the program and its link:
Awave Audio: http://www.fmjsoft.com/
Maybe some one else will have better luck with it.
(Im only using the trial version but really doesnt make a difference in this case) |

Ok, so here's a release with filename scanner.
http://www.savefile.com/files/1634874
It can find 834 filenames (the other 2000 files will be still unknown ), but most important files seem to have filename.
It's like the old version, you should copy mainUS.gfc, mainUS.gob to the directory with the program and run, BUT you should also copy arm9.bin (you can use DSLazy to extract it).
PD: It also works without file (all files will be unknown), or with the entire nds file, renamed as arm9.bin (but it will take much more time)
PD2: Anyone knows how the song audio (band and vocals) is stored? I'm even starting to think that the "hwas" files are audio _________________
