how fast do you guys think you can strum by only strumming down? fast button mashing runs in my family, excpet my brother can whip my ass anyday, but i'm usually faster than all my friends. The fastest i ever strum was during the end of Fly on the Wall! (i wish) No, my fastest was the repititious R+B on cowboys from hell...

With a little practice, I could probably 5-star breaking wheel hard with single picking. I tried it the other day just for kicks (and for hurting my hand) and got more x4 than I thought I would.

i can strum down pretty fast, and i will make about 99% of the notes with it

but when theres a fast repetition of notes like on the breaking wheel ill just automatically strum, i might get a shot in later of just trying it strumming down

At the end of the song, like the last riff before the last chord. I play that strumming down and another bit there theres chords, theres 4 chords then 2 sets of 5 chords or such. Theyre pretty easy

So ill say i can do it pretty fast

I'm pretty much in the same boat as these guys, although I have a little bit less endurance towards super long runs.

I play the end of BW all down strum (the part when it gets to the alternating chords), and for some reason, I play Decontrol about 99% down and Get Ready 2 Rokk all down strum. So I would say pretty fast.

Yeah, I got the twitch thing going too... my problem isn't speed, it's endurance.

That and pain.

I mostly downstrum, even on Bark At The Moon hard/expert. (I have changed to up/down strumming on the main riff parts of Cowboys From Hell and The Breaking Wheel on hard/expert, though)

Yeah, I strum everything down except for Breaking Wheel (Hard/Expert). Man, CFH is a bitch downstrumming on expert but I've got most of the fast parts down. I've gotta learn to consistently alternate strum though. It's really bringing my expert rank down.

My first post by the way. I've been here for a while, just never got around to posting. So hi everyone.
