Hi, I´m customizing the Guitar Hero II and I wish to know how can I exactly synch the songs with the offset tool. There are many songs that need the offest and I have to try and retry until it gets synch and it makes me loose a lot of time. If you could help me telling me how do you do it, or some trick you use to do it at first, I´d be very grateful :
Thanks and congratulations for the custom song list! it´s awesome!!

Most songs that require an offset have the offset listed for the mp3 used by the creator, if that doesn't work or there is none provided, just preview the song in Ghex with, note where the audio starts on the GHex timer, then note where the first note of the note chart is on the Ghex timer and take a guess.

Everytime you re-import the mp3 after the first one, it should be almost instantaneous anyway apart from the conversion process, so it shouldn't take too long.

Try one offset, slow down playback and watch/listen.
If it's still out of synch, try again with a different value.
It's not really brain surgery.

Im having a similar problem. I can get the first few measures to hit dead on, but eventually, over the course of a minute or so, or when there are a lot f 3-fret chords, it goes way off. I have tried replacing 4 songs and they all did the same thing. What am I doing wrong?

That isn't your fault, but the fault of the chart creator. They did not ensure that they made the chart completely sync'd with the music properly.
