Sounds ausome, I thought it was going to be like
1. Upload mp3 file
2. Auto imput notes
3. play it

This sounds even better, make your own song!

I think the wii doesn't get dlc and this because it doesn't have a hard drive. Am I right neversoft?

They are giving us DLC PLUS custom songs. it's like the customs songs we already have but easier to inplement.

By the way, for those who say they've heard this already, that's because you probably have. Destructoid did an article (http://www.destructoid.com/pew-pew-preview-guitar-hero-world-tour-part-2--91504.phtml) back on June 20th that already revealed this feature within the music creator.

Still nice to get an official word though.

So , will we be able to upload ANY song , make a note chart for it and then FREELY trade our creations ?

How can this be possible?

You can't upload an mp3. You place the notes and it generates the actual audio from this. A bit like the GH3 cheats menu, but not as limited, because you can choose which scale you want etc. (so you can play any note). So you can make "covers" of any song you want (no vocals, though).

I hate the way the Wii gets lumped with the PS2 version.

I have the actual line 6 pod and let me tell you that this thing has an insane amount of effects and settings. I am still not buying the bundle, but this is great news.

This is really difficult Neversoft, because now you're forcing me to make a choice between paying a lot of extra money for a 360 to get WT (because just about everyone knows now that you'll screw Wii owners over with DLC, if not with other features), and not getting WT at all.

There are storage cards people buy for the Wii. Those that care about DLC will certainly take those steps to get it. Exclusion of this system could cripple the song creator for Wii users.

I really wish that people would stop forgetting about Ps2 and Wii. Here's some numbers I pulled from the Scorehero rankings:

17,122 users have submitted scores for GH3X (all systems).
43.9% are X360 users (7,516)
42.6% are PS2 users (7,301)
14.5% are Wii users (2,482)
5.5% are Ps3 users (950)
2.8% are PC users (474)

Percentage with DLC capabilities
49.4% with DLC capabilities
59.9% Without DLC

(9.3% has submitted scores for more that 1 system apparently, because my math is right).

Neversoft has actually been surprisingly good about not forgetting us compared to Harmonix - instead of spending all their time on DLC, which only half the platforms can use, Neversoft makes new games that everyone can play (except PC). On top of that, they say that Wii will get DLC, and that all systems can use create a song (that's what it says in the other topic, anyway...)
