Cheating

I can imagine you probably had like a zillion complaints about this before, but wouldn't it somehow be a lot fairer if someone who wants to submit his high score on this site was obliged to attach a picture or a movie?
This way, others can be 100 % convinced of the fact that that person isn't cheating, and it would most definitely lead to more accurate numbers in the overall calculations.
I just checked the "top rankings", and I saw some guy named ArchAngel on the number 1 position of "Symphony of Destruction". Nothing wrong with that, except for the fact that he had a score of + 900.000 points...
Most obviously that's quite difficult to believe. Naturally, he didn't have proof of this.
Any thoughts about this?

There's been plenty of discussion here.

There's been lots of discussion on different parts of the cheating problem, such as requiring photo proof, possible photoshopping, using cheat devices, requiring video proof, etc. It's a very complicated issue.

And of course, if any score is way above anything that is possible, it will be removed as soon as an administrator notices.

EDIT: One more thing, keep your accusations off the boards, no matter how obvious the cheating is. Use private messages to contact JCirri or Matt.

I also started a poll thread asking if we should require proof for #1 scores...most are in favor of the idea...but I can also understand that it is tough for poor jcirri and matt to enforce.

...also in the thread KM provided, it has been proven that false proof can pretty easily be contructed. Which is a real drag.

If you are here long enough, you'll get to know the names of the top people...most of the #1 scores are held by maybe a dozen people across all the difficulties (or just 1 person in the case of medium)....and I believe they are all legit. So take that for what it is worth.
