Advice Please.

I've just made my third burn of GH2, and out of 28 songs about 8 crash. Is it a good idea to start with a clean .HDR or is it okay to continually overwrite songs, or is that likely to lead to more crashing?

I also have a midi that I converted from FOF, and it starts out in synch but then after the intro it starts to go out of synch, would I be right in saying this is to do with the BPM of the midi? (I tried various tempos but could not get it to synch). I've linked to the midi below. Thanks, and thanks to everyone that contributes to this forum, it has helped alot!
