Quote: | NOTE: Guitar Hero will only except x/4 Time Signatures. All others (e.g. 7/8) will be converted by the game and your notes will not be aligned with the measures properly. Although, it does nothing to the sync of the chart/music. Time Signatures aren’t that important to ones playability but it’s a nice touch to add to your songs.

Does anyone know exactly what GH2 converts them to? 4/4 or the closest time Sig to the one you have used? The song I am working on has a 3/6 ( I think , 18 notes in the measure...) So will GH2 change it to a 4/4? I don't know what would be best. Using a 4/4 on a 3/6 bar , OR using a 5/4 on 3/6. |

It ignores the denominator, so 3/6 would be interpreted as 3/4 by the game.
Unless your song is tempo-matched and notes are properly synched to beats, it really doesn't matter anyways.
Most people don't care about that stuff (which is a shame, of course.) _________________

You have a sogn that has a 3/6 time signature? O_o I find that hard to believe, unless the person who wrote the song is from the Romantic Era....
Other then that, kata explained exactly that... The only thing you need to tell the game is how many beats are in the bar. _________________

Yeah, I was gonna say that 3/6 is a crazy time signature... Guitar Pro won't even acknowledge it as a time signature. |

maybe my terminolgy is screwed up then.
I have bars that go from 16 notes to twenty , then a few that only have 18 notes... I thought that was a 3/6.... guess not eh?
I'll have to look into this a bit more , I don't understand it enough yet , thanks for the info though. |

Do you know what a quarter note is?
How many quarter notes (or equivalent in 16th or other lengths) do you have in a measure?
That's your time signature.
Maybe you should google for some basic music theory. _________________

3/6 isn't a common time signature, but it's just meaning the dotted quarter gets the beat, i'm pretty sure. So there is 3 dotted quarters in one bar, meaning the song could be in 9/4?

6 o' o' o' | = 4 o' o' o'
Hmm.
Odd time signature, nonetheless. |
