I really want to try this to see how much control you have on the song, but I can't get it to work correctly.

Fuji caption, garbled

I can hit the spacebar and the chart moves. I tried to hit h for the help window to come up, but a no go. I can't see what the words are that are up on the screen when it opens up.
I think I extracted it correctly. I just extracted it to the desktop for easier access, then I'll move it once it works. Unless I'm supposed to extract it somewhere else? I added my song.ogg to the songs directory. I changed the song title to the correct name of the song and saved it the same. Was I supposed to save it to the song title name.*? And I have installed the latest direct x as you provided the link.

Anything I missed? :?

No it seems you've fallen victim to the same bug that quite a few people seem to be experiencing..
Can you contact me on MSN so i can use you as my guinea pig to try and fix it?

Is there any way to easily have a steadily decreasing tempo?

I'm tabbing Dream Theater - The Glass Prison, and at the end of the intro is drops down about 30 BPM over a couple of bars. I can do it without that, but it would be easier.

Also, could the be a feature to have everything go at half speed, to make solos easier to tab? :P Cheers.

Excellent!

I am very excited to start playing around with this program.

I noticed one thing on Windows XP, however:

When the FeedBack window is entirely hidden (either minimized, or if another window is totally covering it), the app goes to 100% CPU utilization. If it is in the foreground, it's back to normal. In fact, if even the slightest bit of the window is showing, the CPU is normal. Only when totally covered (or minimized) does it spike to 100%.

I haven't read every post in this thread yet, so perhaps others have reported this. Thought I'd let you know...

Well spotted... I'll fix that in the next revision.
Thanks

I'm seeing some minor graphics artifacts surrounding the notes at the bottom of the screen. It basically just looks like some static surrounding them. Here is a screenshot. Is anyone else is experiencing this?

I noticed that as well. I also had the program open and browsing youtube, watching some vids and an aim buddy did a direct connect to show some concept art for his game and it crashed firefox. I then ctrl+alt+del/processes to find that this program was taking up 100% cpu. I just thought it was cause I'm unable to use it correctly at the moment.

This tool is excellent. Thanks for all the time you've put into it.

I am seeing those same artifacts as well. They disappear temporarily over a note while it is being held down.

This thing is really cool. The only problem I experience is the large increase in lag with the note clicker (and sometimes even the metronome) enabled, making it impractical to use. Otherwise, great work!

Errr, when the click track and claps are on? That sounds very unlikely.. Can you be more clear about what you're seeing?
And maybe detail your system specs?

That's weird indeed. My computer has 128mb of ram and the video card is onboard, yet I'm having no lag problems with this program.

Me neither. No lag whatsoever.

Another technical glitch (I'm sure you already know about it, but wtf): when the window isn't fully maximized some strange "cross-like" glitches appear all over the fretboard and notes.

Congrats again, dude, this program f'n rules.
