so there is no roundabout way to put it on a cd or a mp3 player whatsoever?, that would suck

If you're talking about Guitar Hero MIDI files? No.
Normal MIDI files you can play back and record the audio if you're into that kind of masochism.

I got a normal midi(I believe) from a guitar pro tab.

I want to put it on a mp3, I can play it on windows media player, but when I try to burn it to a cd it says; It is not possible to burn the list of files because all of the files have errors or are missing burn rights. To learn more about the problems click the icon next to each file in the burn list.

This is the problem, If I could burn it onto a cd, that a cd player could play, I could then rip it off the cd into mp3 right?

So you downloaded a guitar pro file and converted it to midi, and you want to convert that midi to .mp3 so you can listen to it for fun? I think that's the hang up here, we aren't understanding why you would want to do that, unless you like listening to midi files.

Guitar Pro can export a chart to .wav, does that give you what you want?

the CfH .mid (note file) sounds creepy when listend to as a music file.
