Running four matches per day, we will cover one divison each day and this thread will list the face-offs we will have in round one. I am withholding the songs for each match until the day that it becomes official simply to ensure that we have an ongoing tournament that keeps everyone's interest even when their tournament status isn't at stake. Root for your favorites, underdogs, etc. here!
Tournament organization thread: http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=112103#112103
As days complete, I will be moving them to my first reply on this page. I was originally just going to list the first 4 days in this thread, but now that it's stickied, I may as well ride it out through round 1.
Note: percentages listed on the losers of each round are to show how close to their opponent's score each came. A combination of that and the song chosen should illustrate to you just how close a few of these folks came, and that all respect should be given to them, even in defeat. Let us especially honor the 7 and 8 seeds that got stuck playing difficult songs in round 1, but still dutifully submitted a score though they fully expected to be 100k behind.

On the day your round is set to begin, you will receive a PM reminder telling you which song to play, who your opponent is, and kindly remind you that you get *one* official run at your song that may be preceded by warm-up, but that only your one actual attempt counts. You have three days to respond via PM with your score.

lol.. I'm not sure how I got put into this tournament, but i'm not complaining I'm always happy to compete. I thought this tourney was just for the top players though. Me vs ES942 is a huge joke But I'll do my best! Course even with my best ES can close his eyes, turn off the volume and play with his feet and still win haha...
have fun everybody! |

Wow, im glad i noticed this topic before it was my turn to play. Im a little conserned that the EIGTH seed in the division im in has a 500k + score on freebird, but this should still be fun, even if i manage to lose first round. |

lol, dan, seeding was based on overall rank. Ravage is deceptive since not all his scores are there, but I went with what I had to work with. |

No biggie, Im competitive, but not to the state of being a jerk. I appreciate the time youve taken just to put this all together and it will be fun win or lose. |

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I have a question:
There will be 63 (ideally) eliminations to determine a winner.
There are 64 songs in Guitar Hero II.
Will songs be played without repetition? Will each song only be played once? Since Yes We Can and The New Black have been chosen, can we not play Red Lottery?
Much thanks. |

Don't tell me you are comparing The New Black to Yes We Can and Red Lottery |

Sorry, but yes.
Before the flames come, this is my opinion, but I consider the song poorly made. Most of the riffs sound unfinished as if something more should come, or as if the guitarist messed up and is restarting them later on. When Every Time I Die announced prematurely that their song would be on GH2, I listened to it and then wished that RO/Harmonix would make an example out of them by cutting the song from the lineup.
...in retrospect, maybe putting it on the same level as Yes We Can is a stretch... Same ballpark, at least. Maybe on the same level as Farewell Myth... |

I know exactly which of the 64 songs is not in circulation, and I offered it to the Yes We Can folks yesterday as a substitute. If they don't take it and play YWC, the Red Lottery folks will get that same provision. Everyone else is stuck with the song they get.
Songs for day 3 are posted! |

I think yes we can is actually a pretty good song, I dont know why so many people hate it so much. As for red lottery well yeah that a pretty horrible song, but so is ftk, which i think is worse. Cherry pie is still the wrost song ever though, worse than farewell myth and thats saying something. |
