I'm going to try and offer some constructive criticism.
For the first song, your tone is really bad. The idea you had to do a bass track by turning off treb and mids and turning bass all the way up really wasn't necessary. The song would have been better without it.
Other than that it's solid, just try to work on your timing, you were off sync with the drums in a few parts. |

I listened to "Rocker's Night Out" to see if I could conjure up some lyrics for it when I noticed that your chorus is the same as Judas Priest's Living After Midnight. It's a good song, the chorus just threw me off. Keep working on it, I'd like to see how this turns out later on down the road. _________________

Thank you for the suggestions. I'm thinking on doing a solo for the song, and it's looking damn good. _________________

I used Andrew Rudson's Drum Machine app for Windows, which lets you use your Rock Band Drum kit on your computer.
Here's the download link:

EDIT: i just heard rockers night out and it sound exactly like living after midnight by judas priest |
*Reply to Metaloid*
I listened to "Living After Midnight" and did some comparing this morning and I think that you're right. So, I am going to totally re-do "Rocker's Night Out". I got some progress on the project already. I dropped the key to F# (F sharp), made a new verse riff; I am keeping the main riff to the song. I am still thinking up the guitar solo and lyrics to the song. I think I'll have this done and uploaded by, at latest, Thanksgiving Day. So, if anyone is reading this post, check back here often for the new remake.
As for your comment on "Hallowed be thy Name", I learned the song by ear and improvised a solo for that song.
*To everyone else viewing this thread*
Also, anyone reading this thread, check back here often. I'm always playing my guitar and coming up with ideas for new songs, and If I Do, I'll upload them for all of you to enjoy.
Rock On!

EDIT: the link below is dead now. the new download link for this song is at the first post of the thread.
New song as of 10/26/08:
3. The instrumental re-do of my first song, "Rocker's Night Out." Because my original RNONDH sounded too much like JP's Livin' After Midnight, I re did it with a new verse, and solos, and the song's new key is F#. Still needs lyrics...

The new RNO has some timing problems. Try and work on syncing the guitar and drums so they are on beat. Falling "into pocket" with the drums is really key to making it sound right. |

|
|
I could use a little advice concerning my tone.
I'm using a small, basic amplifier with the bare minimum: volume, gain, treble, and bass.
Got any suggestions for a decent tone with only those settings?
If you do, post em' here.
Thank you
