When I try to load the GH GP5 template in GP5, I get an error message. It seems to be a problem with the tuning as I tried creating a new template with the same tuning characteristics as the template and the error comes when I try to add a note to the tab. It only happends on notes though; I can do rests no problem but GP5 yells at my when I try to put in a note. I've also tried changing the instrument but that does not work either. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Is the template that you are using the one from the Guitar Pro-specific tutorial or the template from the general tutorial? I can't offer any help until I know specifically which version you are using.

Sorry, got one more for you. In the tutorial where the template is posted, it talks about using stacatto for avoiding sustains. What does this mean? Is it to make a note not a chord?

The general use for stacatto (for GH purposes) is to prevent the given note/chord from being a hold that you can whammy.

In the future, please be sure to post your questions in the threads they are related to. It makes it a lot easier to sort through these questions, and ensures that someone will see your question.

It also keeps you from getting banned (see rule 4). Not getting banned is a good thing.
