I'm happy with this week's songs (4). I'm a good squeezer, so HSB should be great for me. I voted for OftR last week, but I like Thunderhorse too. The twist though . . that could get frustrating. _________________

Ouch..that twist is gonna cost me a lot of time. As for HSB, I just started getting pretty decent at squeezing so this should be interesting. |

Well, I'm screwed. HSB does not work on my game because my brothers scratched the disk. I'll just have to play a friend's disk if I can. Thank god I am good at Thunderhorse and OFtR. _________________

well, it looks to me like i'm not going to be able to finish the league this time around. i didn't get any scores in this week, and last weeks weren't very well worked on and i only got 1 or 2 run-throughs in. i can't find a lot of time to play these songs... _________________

Ew, this week's songs are an absolute nightmare for me. I'm not even really sure I want to bother. Heart-Shaped Box is both my 3rd least favorite song to listen to and my least favorite song to play and I can't break the top 200 on it, I've never pulled off a squeeze in my life. I like Thunderhorse a lot, though it might be frustrating since I won't be happy with less than a FC, but it's the best song this week. One for the Road is a good song but I have no real hope at the fast picking section near the end so I don't really have much of a chance at a good score. And the twist? Can I be honest for just a second here? The twist sucks balls. Horrible idea. I don't know what you were thinking. That sounds like the most tedious thing I could possibly do in GHII, and I played Cherry Pie in performance mode last week! How am I supposed to make sure my score ends in 62? Am I supposed to actually try to stop it on 62 on the last sustain? Am I supposed to hope for that 1 in 100 chance I'll actually end the score in 62?
Eh... I'll probably end up giving this week's songs a try despite my whining. But that twist is really, really awful. |

Barfo rules this league with an iron twist.
Gah, I'm constantly watching my score so I'm constantly breaking streaks. I can hit sustains without adding points about 25% of the time, ugh. And this week's songs are just not that fun to play except TH. Good luck everyone. Hope I make it to the playoffs. _________________

Yeah, I gave the twist a try just once. Have fun with week 4 and the playoffs, everybody! |

My plan, try to do it in the end holds. If I don't, retry and retry again. _________________

My first reaction to the twist was "WTF!?!?!", however now I've tried it I have to say I like it! As long as you understand how the scoring system works it's not THAT hard to get a score ending xxxx62. Getting a GOOD score ending xxxx62 on the other hand...
No surprise that this twist comes from The Proof Master himself - thanks for the tips you gave me a while back for hitting exact proof scores.

Good luck with that - you'd get an awesome score but unless you have the patience of a saint (or get lucky) there'll be splintered pieces of SG flying around before the end of the week! _________________

^I played Cherry Pie over and over again for 3 and a half hours. Let's hope I still have patience. _________________

I had two pretty good runs last night with HA's method. It's not all luck. _________________

I still don't understand this twist at all. I tried playing The New Black a few times, but I could never get my score to end in 62 at any point in the song. Even if I could, I'd have to then purposely miss every single sustain note in the song (not easy!) and hope that I don't end up with 12 at the end (x1 or x3 multipliers), and then submit an absolutely terrible score when I can FC this song fairly easily. Is there something I'm missing here? I just don't understand how to do this besides the obvious "play the song 100 times and you'll probably get 62 eventually." This twist is about as fun as trying to play Misirlou with my tongue. (Don't get any ideas) _________________
