It seems that more guys are into GH than girls are. Maybe more guys are into video games than girls are. In any case, my friend Helaine and I are the only girls I know that are as crazy about this game as we are, and I think I've smashed her level of crazy with an iron fist.

Are you kidding? My ex-girlfriend and her sister were the ones that got me into the game, my best friend plays it whenever she can, and all 4 of the girls that live in my house love either watching me play or playing themselves.

GH is not a guy's game.

Move to the valley** then. Gamers are all around us.

** = The valley in California. It's not famous for gaming, but there's a pretty big group of gamers here.

Which is why GH is probably considered to be more of a 'guy game' as you put it in the first place. I don't think there are even a lot of girls that own PS2s unless they have a brother or some other family member into gaming. Not that I wouldn't want to see more female gamers, but it's just how things are right now.

Fun fact: Dance Dance Revolution was originally created to bring girls into the video game market. (Or something like that at least...) We're actually starting to see the gender scale move towards a balance (still more males currently) in the DDR club at my college. I'm not complaining.

ROFFLE HOUSE

I know quite a few chick gamers... and they all either suck at this game or refuse to play it. (Which says absolutely nothing about the female game demographic as a whole.)

Hahaha, if I ever make a list of best scorehero quotes that definately makes the cut.

In my experience I've only seen girls play this game when I took the PS2/GH to my sister's 18th/graduation party. Most of them thought it was fun and attempted to play but had no concept or coordination and got lost in Easy. Except for my cousin who was there, she actually plays guitar so she could handle most of Medium and wants to play it again to improve. So, there may be hope.

But it was quite fun playing in front of such an easily impressed audience, I felt like god when I got 250k on CFH, which I would usually consider a poor/mediocre performance, heh.

My wife bought the game for me. My wife buys most of my games for me. Why you ask? So either she too can play them or she can at least watch me play.
Guitar Hero she doesn't like too much. Too repetative and the notes make her dizzy the way they scroll down the screen. Otherwise I could picture her kicking butt on this game.
She does in a few of the other games we play together.
